Not to my knowledge. Wes Matthews maybe is the closest I've seen to who he used to be pre-injury. But pre-injury ceiling was also just a high level starter, not an All Star #1 option type.

You think they put a gun to his head or something? WHAT AM I READING ??!?!?!?!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Clearly you don’t understand English. All I said was that action will be taken for clearing an injured guy to play. Why are you on realGM anyway? Kawhi ended your hopes and dreams weeks ago

You guys should see what this dude just sent me in a private message. He isn't dealing with tonight's loss very well.

THis is like what the spurs did with Kawhi, told him he was good to go and he wasnt, only different KD suited up and blew out his Achilles, Same couldve happened to Kawhi had he listened to spurs doctors instead of sitting out and getting 2nd opinion

That’s crazy. I feel super bad for KD. Hate to see anybody go down with a serious injury much less one of today’s great players.

It's an achilles tear.

The worst injury in sports.

I think teams would be wary.

Wary, but the max will be on the table. Opting in could actually hurt him if he comes back and has a Cousins like season.

This, he looked good to go. Medicine isn't all knowing, some stuff just happens and you wonder why.

If not, he becomes the 2nd cautionary tale of playing while hurt in a contract season (IT being the first)

At least he has a $31 million opt in to fall back on.

Warriors will max him. They have no cap space left if he leaves. The Knicks would max him too. That doesn’t matter though. He’ll get his money but be robbed of a year of basketball. Can only hope it’s a strain or partial tear.

KD just brings out the dumbest, most heartless takes of any player in the history of the sport. I sincerely feel bad that he’s the kind of guy that feels compelled to read this bs.

Pharmcat wrote:Myers can take his fake crocodile tears and shove them up his ***. The GSW front office is responsible for this, when they wouldnt tell us what exactly his injury was and a SPECIFIC time frame. He did this as gamesmanship so the other opponent wouldnt know if Durant is playing but this backfired. Because this put pressure on Durant to come back because the fans wanted him to, the players wanted him too, and the media wanted him too because no one knew exactly what was wrong with him and why he was out this long. As a result, he came back not ready and tore something up. So sad. Myers should be fired for this.

Just because he's responsible doesn't mean that they're fake tears. If anything it makes it more likely that they're real (if he indeed feels responsible, which he likely does on some level if not fully).

Any team would give him the max, and the Warriors certainly would. He’s far closer to Dominique age-wise( 2 years younger) and less reliant on pure athleticism than nique was. That’s assuming it’s worst case. It’s horrible to have to sit out almost a full a year at 30, but his game should age very well, and my purely gut guess tells me he’ll recover.

Ugh, and Raptors fans were cheering

Some, don't feed this narrative that all raptor fans were cheering because that's bull. It was gross and wrong that even one cheered but it wasn't everyone.

Oh yeah, there was that guy in the back...who was quickly shamed into silence so the crowd could be heard.

Still love that thong song tho it's all good.

No one forced KD to play. Let’s put this nonsense to rest. The only person that makes that call is KD at the end of the day.

Nobody is forced to do much of anything legally. When articles are coming out challenging KD for not playing. Chris Broussard saying Warriors don't think KD is all in. He couldn't jump or run just few days ago and then today they are he can play without any restrictions. They literally look like the worse doctors in the history of sports.

Prior to the game I had a Warrior fan friend who suggested they would never do this with Steph Curry. They were thinking KD was gone and they wanted every drop of there investment.

Just to note KD is only a free agent if he opts out of his contract. I'm not sure what he will do but this is going to change everything. Anthony Davis probably took the Knicks off his list of teams. KD may not even become a free agent. He may not even play next season. If Kawhi stays in Toronto then suddenly Kyrie becomes the best free agent on the market.

Durant also needs to reevaluate his friends circle, because it seemed like he didnt follow the advice of the one friend he should have:
