1. It's a PORTION of the fanbase, the vocal minority...and the vast majority are embarrassed by their actions and very apologetic. ALL I've seen on this board is Rap fans apologize but ignored n told that they are lumped together with that vocal minority no matter what is said...regardless no one is happy about what happened to KD and we're ALL wishing him a full and speedy recovery that's no bullsh*t

2. While nothing excuses the actions of that minority, I honestly don't think anyone had realized the severity of his injury at the time. They're emotional fans not registered doctors. They were cheering about the play and that they thought KD would come out the game (period) ...no one knew the extent of it or wished him serious injury. When they realized it would force him out the game again...cheered FOR HIM not at his expense.

Absolutely no one is proud of it, EVERYONE feels for and wants Kev to be alright. Not much more than that can be said.

Prayers up KD.

Absolutely disgusting. And Raps fans tell me it's only the rich people who could afford the tickets that were classless and cheering the injury. Yeah, looks like a lot of millionaires in that crowd.

Injuring someone,
Both a bad, but one actually doesn’t do anything.

Talking trash is just rude, the players can ignore it entirely...
An injury can cripple someone’s whole lifestyle...
After your first, you change, you mature, you dont just jump into things.

After getting dunked on for the first time, life becomes complex.

Love the fake, no evidence, “like when . . . uh . . . Draymond . . . does . . . things.”

Delavedova is the last guy I can think of who looked like he was actively trying to injure a player (against the Bulls).

Shameful thread. OP’s entire point is to argue that it actually was OK for Raps fans to cheer the injury. This is way worse than all the “they didn’t realize he was injured/ they were cheering a fast break” bs excuses.

It's not surprising Raptor fans would react like this.

Nothing makes either action right.

The vocal minority embarrassed the majority tonight and playing dirty is just as deplorable. This is good ol "2 wrongs don't make a right". They're both wrong, no one is proud of those actions and let's not become petty. IBTL.

That's mob mentality. Not only is it not representative of all Raptors fans, it's not even representative of those individual fans waving. I'm sure almost all of them feel bad now that they know it's his achilles

Whatever makes you sleep better at night. The level of insecurity by some posters right now is pretty amazing.

I'm curious, where were all these indignant fans when Bucks fans were hurling racial insults towards Nav Bhatia?

it's not surprising the bucks fans come out of the woodwork right now after their team lost 4 in a roll.

Clementine64 wrote:What's worse clapping when a player goes down or being the guy that repeatedly causes the injuries on purpose like Draymond Green?, who is seen by American media as one of the games greatest defenders and ultimate competitors.

I think Kyle Lowrey is a better example. Tried to injure a couple of players in the Sixers series, did it again today pushing a player underneath as he was going to the basket. Probably the dirtiest player in the league and should be called out for it.

Seeing this just makes me upset all over again. :(

The KD injury play where he slipped led to an Ibaka steal and fast break layup. Fans were cheering for that play. Not the injury. No one in the crowd knew what exactly happened until the whistle was blown and KD was supported off the court.

And i think all of that fans waiving their hands good-bye were also for ibaka's play

Dude, stop with this nonsense.

I will say that I have disliked Green for years due to his antics, but he is slowly winning me over as he seems to have changed his ways. The reports of him changing his ways due to how his son was playing, and not letting his son watch NBA for those reasons are great. I read an interview from him as well about how he is being more intentional with his reactions to refs calls (though not perfect). When was the last time he did a cheap shot?
