Look, he had the worst advanced numbers in the history of advanced numbers. If you need to sleep better at night about it, then do all the mental gymnastics you want. The numbers are what the numbers are.

And tanking shouldn't have been a goal. 33 wins would have gotten us the 1st or 2nd pick. 17 wins got us the 3rd.

Was he in foul trouble? Maybe load management? Taking a player out doesn't = tanking.

Man I don't get it. People want to lose so we could get a better draft pick to build on so we give more minutes to guys that aren't really ready for the grind like Kevin or players that are at best a 3rd or 4th scorer, yet we complain because we don't look good while we lose.

Knox will be a very good player and I don't care what the numbers were this season. This kid works hard daily and I'm sure someone is breaking down the tape with him helping him get smarter out there. When his body fills out and he has more confidence in his handles, Knox will be a problem.

Giannis had a PER of 10.8 at 19, it was 30.1 this season. Sure glad milwaukee didnt write him off

What I'm trying to say is that not everyone who is young is going to be good. Giannis showed signs through his peripheral numbers. Knox hasn't shown ****.

It's worrisome how his numbers looked last season; pretty much all the advanced metrics paint Knox in a terrible light. It would be one thing if he was just getting spot minutes as an 18 year old rookie but he was a starter for the majority of the season and played heavy minutes, so a lot of those numbers do look appalling.

I also see the other perspective that he's really young, has to fill into his body, work on some actual go-to moves offensively, build on his stamina and conditioning which I hope was the reason his defense was so putrid last season. He also played with arguably the worst starting PG in the league who didn't look like he knew how to orchestrate an offense in Mudiay.

He is really young and hopefully he'll use all that experience from last season and look to improve in pretty much every facet to his game. His physical attributes are impressive and he does seem like he can be a do-it-all type of player on the offensive end since the fundamentals are there. He just needs a LOT of improving in all aspects of his game.
