It is understandable in the heat of the moment the Raptors basically though they won the Finals, and they didn't do it as much as from wishing KD being seriously hurt, but because they felt that they can definetly win no. No excuse ofc, just say it how it was
No they aren't. First of all there was the steal and it was a major play, Durant was down behind the play while everyone jumped up to watch the play finish but there was the stoppage, the majority of fans were cheering the team making an amazing play. I was in the arena and on the opposite side of KD, far end, hadn't even seen he went down until all the players ran over to that side.
Sure, there were some idiots waiving bye and cheering for those reasons, but that is not a reflection of the fanbase. Every city has it's share of idiots that act dumb, a little alcohol, a little heat of the moment emotion and you get stuff like this. I have friends who were in GS for game 4 who said some GS fans were cheering when Fred got hurt. But the whole arena wasn't up cheering a Dubs play in the same way. The optics of what went down makes it look like the entire crowd was cheering, they weren't. The players weren't even reacting to it more so telling everyone to calm down and this is more serious. When you watch on TV, it comes across as a whole arena cheering but it wasn't. Then the crowd clapped him off and chanted KD.
Again, I'm sure there were idiots cheering this and they are that, but that is not all Raptors fans.
