I hope he's rounding into form. The effort was there earlier in the season but he just looked old.

Laws of averages finally rounding out. It was difficult to believe someone could be that bad at shooting open 3pt shots without offering much else and still be in the NBA nevertheless someone’s starting lineup.

My cat's nickname is Marvin Gray. He is pleased that Marvin is no longer playing awful basketball.

Yeah, he finally looks like he's getting his legs back. He still looks old but at least he's getting springy enough to knock down shots and contest on D better.

I expect that we will hear from MKG soon, but his decision is a bit more complex than Marv's was. $15 mil for an older vet is a no-brainer. MKG is going to have to weigh the long term cost of opting in vs hitting free agency next summer after having been a bench player for two years instead of just one. I do expect MKG to opt in, but it's not as cut and dry.

We could try and stench MKG for 3yr. at 5 mil. Maybe he gets develop the right way and we save a little money.

Thats not the way it works, unfortunately.

Other than avoiding the luxury tax there's no incentive to stretch MKG. He, Marvin, and Biz are more valuable as expiring contracts.

Marvin Williams is a popular inclusion in fake trade proposals, and commonly disparaged around these parts as old

I am Pro-Marvin. I advocate keeping him, and have no problem paying him $15M this year. I think he is still a net positive on the court, especially if switched to a substitute role, and I can't think of a better pro model for Miles Bridges and PJ Washington, who I think are our most important developmental players, to learn from and emulate

Him or Batum. I like Marvin and think he's an awesome guy and he seems to be a great teammate, but he was falling off as a player about three years ago.

one of my all time favorite lines from Collins last night, after reminding that Marvin's full name is Marvin Gaye Williams II, Marvin missed a 3 to which Collins said:

"Marvin has been so hot lately that when he misses you just have to say, "ain't that peculiar"
