These shadow tactics in regards to injuries arent gonna fly anymore once NBA endured betting really hits. Its gonna be a problem if teams withhold significant injury/risk information with billions of revenue on the line

I didn't listen to the whole Meyers presser but he can't really speak for anybody outside of the team. If he's speaking on behalf of KD, his agent, and KD's doctors it's conjecture.

Dude, sorry but that's a ridiculous take. You don't think that KD's team would let the Warriors front office know if independent doctors had an opinion on the injury that differed from the team diagnosis? You think that KD would go out an play if the second opinion didn't confirm what the Warriors doctors were telling him? You think that Meyers would lie about something that can be easily verified?

I'm not saying he's a liar I'm saying you can't take his word as the absolute truth. KD, his agent, or his doctors might come out later and say it was a mischaracterization. His doctors could have been more hesitant than the Warriors. His agent might have objected and KD made the final call. Kawhi and the Spurs would still go back and forth on the facts to this day. What's ridiculous is to assume that Bob Meyers couldn't be telling it through the eyes of the Warriors.

If something like this comes out, then sure, but automatically assigning blame based on assumptions and other players' experiences with their own teams is wrong. Ultimately, KD is a grown man who loves to play basketball and this was a legacy defining opportunity for him. Being a superstar and having all the leverage, it was his decision.

That's a different argument. But you hit the nail on the head with information possibly coming out. We only have one side of the story so far and it's from the Warriors. Conjecture is based on not having all of the information and having no information from KD, his agent, or doctors makes any conclusion conjecture so far. You accused somebody of conjecture while doing the same thing yourself.

i recall a person made a thread on here about how based on how the icepack was on kd , that he didnt have a calf injury and people jumped on him about his opinion, seems he was right all along, i cant pull that thread or remember his name but it was very spot on with what jalen rose & shannon sharpe said about how he was treating the lower achilles with ice as opposed to his calf muscle

I've done no research on the topic, but I believe in the NFL for this very reason teams do get absolutely hammered for not providing accurate injury and participation reports.

I do believe there are large ramifications for this. Would need to look into it more.

Shannon always speaks the truth. All the ESPN clowns are stooges because ESPN and ABC have the NBA rights. Even Cowherd and Maddog today were shilling for the Warriors — between NBA, media execs, Silicon Valley and everyone’s agents being buddy-buddy in LA, the shilling and misinformation is all organized. Sports “news” media is a joke.

Wish I had a $ for every time that a sportsman has come back from injury too early

Conspiracy theories are more interesting but chances are that KD simply took a risk to play in an important game

Literally happens all the time in many different sports

How is Shannon Sharpe still so jacked? No homo....ok maybe just a little bit.

Seriously, I agree with SS 100% on this. Bob Meyers has lost all credibility with me (I know this doesn't mean anything). The acting from the interview was so bad and cringy imo that I can't believe how anybody can buy that PR Stunt BS!

Right from the getgo, he fumbles around with the mic and papers, tries to force out tears throughout the segment. When one of the reporters asked a question he pretends to be all disorientated, not knowing where he's at. Tells everyone to blame him if they had to in a dishonest way while trying to shift blame. Plays stupid and denies any correlation between KD's 2 injuries. This guy is a total weasel, a corporate shill.

There's always been something off about this Warriors organization that has rubbed me the wrong way and now I know why. It starts from the top and trickles all the way down. From the ownership (Mark Stevens as example), to Crocodile Tears Bob Meyers down to "KD hopeful to play" Steve Kerr and to the rest of players.

KD deserved better than this.

Damn that's tough to watch.

Have a friend that tore his Achilles, granted he's not an athlete it still affected his day to day activities. Had to spend the whole night in ER with him.

Why don't you call into Undisputed and call Shannon Sharpe a clown for sharing my sentiments regarding Bob Meyers? That's right, you got nothing as usual.

Sure, I'll play along:
There's always been something off about Raptors fans that has rubbed me the wrong way and now I know why. It starts from the top and trickles all the way down from the organization that doesn't show loyalty to players that made it relevant. Then there's lack of basketball knowledge and constant insecurity about being irrelevant in the US dominated basketball market.

I'm saying that you saying EVERYONE outside of the team cleared KD based on statements from Meyers and RJ is conjecture. Those statements mean as much as Jalen's.

By everyone I meant Warriors doctors, KD's doctors and agent, and KD himself. Everyone else's opinion, including Jalen's, is irrelevant.

Maybe Durant should've listened to Jalen rose and Perkins advice. Seems like those were the only 2 who had durants best interest in their minds . Durant needs to reevaluate his friends and advisor circle and can those who gave him the advice to play.

C'mon you can do better than that, none of that strikes a nerve. The insecurities come from all you guys trying to seek out apologies from us. Just LOL. The Warriors are 100% to blame for KD's injury, we owe you nothing.
