i think well get info during pre-season

but its been almost two months since the injury, so time goes fast... add to that off-season, pre-season and hell be back before we know... im optimistic hell be available around the all-star break, but im not sure if portland will activate him

if you go by the Paul George time-table it's 8 months. So that would be sometime in November. Now, Nurk is 60-70 pounds heavier than PG; and George was just a shell of himself and played like crap in the few games he played before the season ended. And Nurkic has had two different broken legs

my guess would be anywhere from December to the all-star break. But maybe he's a faster healer than PG

Yeah, I think the mental part of this injury can't be overstated enough. Same with Hayward. Even once you return from this injury and are totally physically healthy, the mental part of it can take 6-12month after the physical part to trust that leg again.

good point...next season, I really don't expect Nurkic to be very close to the level he was at before the injury. Maybe by March and April he can be doing well

I'm more concerned about if he has some underlying bone weakness condition. I don't think it is super common for a guy to have multiple broken leg bones like he has.

I think it's hard to say how long it would take Nurkic to be mentally ready but he did play on a broken fibula before so he seems to be pretty tough in that way. Then again a tibia vs a fibula injury is very different and who knows how that affects him. It is good to see him walking around lately. From what I've heard, bearing weight on it is supposed to help it heal.

have you ever heard being said some player is having a workout and based on that you can know approximately when should he return... nurkic here is doing some workout, shooting over this guy (there was a short video on his instagram) so maybe those who know better, would know what type of workout this is... is he ready for contact yet and things like that

Anyone see the headline that Nurk is expected back around the all-star break.

I was there in the 8th row, center court, watching pregame warmups when Sam Bowie broke his leg again standing there in pregame shootaround.
