Not sure what you can get for the 4? But this deal will get done after the series is over to keep the NBA in the news.

Maybe, But currently Rich Paul IS doing his absolute best to try and tank Davis' value in order to ensure that the Lakers have less assets to give up by dissuading other potential suitors with the " "One Year rental " threat comment.

So maybe New Orleans is considering taking slightly less back in a package for Davis in order to ensure that Davis doesn't get to the Lakers, and to stick it back to the Flakers for Paul's constant interference???

I mean if Boston, as well as other teams become dissuaded from offering a great package for Davis, Due to Paul's power play interference, Thusly affecting the overall value of the Pels return,

Then why would Griffin help Paul out after he continually interferes and sabotages Griffins' opportunities to procure the best possible return in a potential trade package, for his franchise?

For Griffin, This isn't about Paul's ego, or Anthony Davis' feelings. It's all business, and it's Griffins' first major deal on his new job.

I'm sure that he wouldn't appreciate Rich Paul constantly undermining his attempts to recieve the best return possible for the Pels, Just to achieve his agenda for Lebron.

Therefore I could see him considering this.

I'd call their bluff and keep him, wait for tensions to go down and play it out till the trade deadline. See who gets desperate and make a play then. Don't panic and bend to someone else's will, don't get bullied into doing something stupid.

Agreed.

Seems like the Pels are trying to gather the assets it would take to add a name like Beal to the incoming.

New Orleans might have their best chance ever to win a chip next year if they hold onto AD. Not a bad fallback option if they don’t get a reasonable offer.

The Suns would need to get more value back if they’re sending out 6 for Lonzo but there’s nothing else from LA I’d want that wouldn’t be going to New Orleans. His passing/defense helps the team more than his shooting would hurt but his durability is the biggest concern to me. Idk if he’s legitimately injury-prone or they held him out with caution because there was nothing to play for.

Yup. Make AD come to practice every day, make him see all his old teammates every day, make him see how good Zion really is every day. Once they start winning and they will win see how he feels then, worst case scenario you trade him in January. Someone else will come available, some other superstar will want out by that time. Some playoff team will take a risk if they think he'll put them over the top. Make the deal then.

Guessing this means each team is trying to get AD.
That #4 isn't going to net them a big name.

I really would like to see the Knicks or even the Celtics land Davis.

One thing I wonder with the Celtics, Even IF Irving leaves, they could still have the best package for Davis, and IF they kept the Memphis pick out of the Davis trade,

Then they could possibly first land Davis, and then trade the Memphis pick back for Conley. A roster with Davis, Horford, Conley and fillers could still make some noise possibly in the east.

Well I guess we will see. Right now I still rate Jackson fairly high and your option in the past hasnt convinced me on any of the issues that we seem to have very different views on. so lets wait and see what happens.

My opinions in the past were that Doncic was better than Ayton and that Bender, Chriss, and Jackson were rotational players at best. SGA is starter on a playoff team. Definitely worth Jackson and #6.

They wouldn't even do that. They wouldn't find anyone as good as SGA at 6 and Jackson makes the deal worse for them.

You lost context ... Jackson/#6 were part of package that went to the Pelicans so that the Clippers could get AD.

Spurs send out Leonard and Green and get back Derozan, Poeltl, and 29th pick in the NBA draft

Kings send out Cousins and Casspi and get back Tyreke Evans, Buddy Hield, Langston Galloway, and 2017 10th and 34th picks in NBA draft. Evans and Galloway were expiring contracts so basically it was Cousins for Hield, the 10th, and 34th pick.s

Derozan was coming off 3 straight all-star games and had just lead the raps to their 1st ever one-seed. They failed against Lebron but who can really blame them for that. KL was coming off one of the most bizarre seasons any player had ever in NBA history. He bails on what was thought to be the gold standard for NBA teams-the NBA's version of the New England patriots really. He was known to only wanna play in LA. No one knew if he was even gonna show up in Toronto. Other teams were scared to make a trade. The raps took a major gamble on him and gave up one of their most beloved players EVER for a guy who might not show and this isn't even bringing up his injury that kept him out the whole year-and still bothers him even now.

The kings were run by Vivek and Valde- who were a league joke at the time for making that trade. I remember those 2 getting roasted more then Dolan was at the time and more then Jennie Buss is today. NOP got Boogie because Vivek had a hard on for Hield and they still got a top 10 pick on top of that.
Funny part is as much as the kings were killed in the end they won that trade. I get why the pels did it but realistically had they kept buddy and picked well with that pick they probably have a much better team last season.

Y’all are crazy. Don’t keep that negative energy around. They hold all the cards .

Get the best package you can , even if it’s not LA or Knicks ! Screw AD . Dude can’t even play a full year

I agree with you but its alittle unfair. Boogie just had terrible luck much like Durant. As a suns fan I need to have reasons to keep watching NBA in April-June and I really wanted to see what the pels team coulda done in the playoffs that yr.

The size they had was unmatched by anyone else in the league really add to the fact that both guys were mobile bigs who-at the time might of been the 2 best guys at their positions. Just didn't work out 4 em.

Listening to Gambo

He is adamant the 6th pick won’t be traded as he is a non shooter. They want a combo guard who can knock down shots. Good defender and passer.

But Gambo said “he doesn’t see it”

So I think it’s a lot of opinion

Return to Phoenix Suns
