Championship or bust even if Kyrie leaves? You’re putting a lot of AD.

Ingram, Ball, and 4 or
Brown, Smart, 14, and 20? Hell, substitute 20 for the Memphis pick just to make sure it isn't close.

Pretty sure back in the KG to Boston days I posted a lot in some of those threads. Remember how one poster told me about KD to Boston like a month before it happened, then we traded for Ray and nobody heard that one. Some of the board said no way you then trade Jefferson for KG as he's younger and will be just as good.....

Then Jefferson's best friend came here and broke the KG trade 2 days before ESPN and other sites. Literally. Realgm Celtics board broke the KG to Boston trade.

We have some insiders here, but not a players best friend. Those were the days.

Celtics Thug 4 Eva

That was something else. I can't even for the life of me remember what it was that guy "broke". Maybe I'll see if my PM's go back 13 years. I made him send me proof of his source before I let him post. Then he just started making stuff up.

Those were also the days, in another direction.

KG trade he claimed he knew the cousin of "Ryen Gomes" or something like that.

I'm not too high on the Lakers players. Not even because they are on the Lakers. I just don't see it. Ball and Ingram are both too fragile. Ingram's contract and health issues make him a horrid asset. Ball has missed one season out of 2 and has been a worse shooter than Smart in his first 2 years in the league. Both Smart and Jaylen are far superior defenders and even athletes. Both shoot the 3 better. Jaylen easily has the highest potential- strength, athletic ability, shooting, defense, availability.

My guess is that they'd roll with Jimmy Butler. I have no idea if we could keep AD though. NYK would still have space, almost certainly.

Yeah I’m assuming Kyrie is gone. This is why Ainge needs to hang onto some assets after an AD deal.

Rich Dickwad Paul will ask for the trade kicker if it's to Boston. Waive it if it's to Lakers.

I don't trust Rich Paul with this at all, he seems hell-bent on sending his client to Lakers.

I feel what will happen if celtics make this trade is Paul will use any minor injury to justify sitting Davis out, and Davis will become a free agent and dip.

And Kyrie might ask for a player option after year 1, knowing AD isn't guaranteed

Just imagine that Laker training camp and how awkward it will be if they don't land Davis. Lol.

What is the actual knowledge we have about Ingram's clot issue? I haven't heard a lot made about it in the media but some people on this board seem to think it's a definite thing that kills Ingram's value.

If it's not a big deal, those are actually pretty comparable packages, IMO - Both have a talented wing and a guard who is flawed but very skilled at part of the game (Smart defense, Ball passing) and then the 4 pick vs the 14th and 20th in a draft where 4 and 14 are going to get similar players.

Has it occurred to anyone that Danny might have a pretty good read on the Kyrie situation? He indicated they have regular communications.

I feel like Butler is going to get the max from PHI and he will take it(can they offer him 5 years?).

Cuz hes gunna get fired and other players wont take him as seriously.

He obviously promised that he’d get AD to his desired destination. If he fails, it hurts him and Klutch badly.

Assuming his read on it is the same as everyone else’s in the media and NBA circles..

It would most likely Ingram and whatever the 4th pick could fetch them going to the pels as the meat of the deal....the hope is a Beal (unlikely) or some all star caliber player

Yes, they have his Bird Rights so they can offer him that.

Naw. KG trade was first ddb (told me in private) and the Kingsly broke it on the site. But you got the Gomes part right from his side of the story anyways. He did send me a pic of him and Gomes. But players take pics with fans all the time so who knows.
