I feel the opposite... If the trade ends up being what is being reported right now, which is:

Lakers get: AD

Pelicans get: 4th Pick + Lonzo + Ingram

That’s a STEAL by the Lakers. We’re talking about a Top-6 player in the NBA who just turned 26 years old.. still a couple years away from his prime.

Why do the Pels want Lonzo? They already have Jrue, who is better and they will also be running a lot of their offense through Zion. Lonzo, being a bad shooter, is pretty useless off the ball when he can't even use his passing ability to create for others.

Not what I would call a steal.

Cool, even if that "easily" beats the offer, where's that offer?

That’s a STEAL by the Lakers. Highway robbery. We’re talking about a Top-6 player in the NBA who just turned 26 years old.. still a couple years away from his prime. Superstars win in this league, not Lonzo Balls & Brandon Ingrams.

and only has ONE year left on this contract, and has made it clear hes going to be a rental by anyone other than LA. AKA NOLA has no leverage. How is that highway robbery?

What is anyone else offering?

They are not saying what Boston is offering, but it has to be a very conservative offer since it looks like the pels and Lakers have agreed on a framework offer.

I'd be fired if I ever negotiated a deal that bad with one of my customers.

Kuzma is the only Lakers young guy who can potentially space the floor , which is important given Williamson's lack of shooting.
Also he can play small ball 5 next to Zion. It's a pretty good fit actually given that ZIon will cover up his defensive mistakes.

Kuzma == .303 3FG%, 2nd worst in the league for any player that averaged > 5.0 3FGA/G.

Kuzma at the 5 == layup drill for the other team. They tried it with him and LeBron and it failed miserably so they quickly abandoned it.

I find it funny that the Lakers and NOP are fighting over a guy who is a bad fit next to Zion and doesn't want to play for a small market team.

At this point, I think the only reason NOP even wants him is to screw gut the Lakers as badly as possible.

You just waxed poetic about how bad Kuzma is and then said if the Lakers traded him they would be gutted. How can both be true? If he's that bad, what's the big deal if they lose him?

I'd rather take the #3, Robinson and the Dallas Picks from the Knicks. It's honestly a better haul (with the picks being the most valuable piece from both teams)

Kuzma and any other piece NOP finds redundant will likely end up on the 3rd team.

Where does it say anywhere that they've agreed on a framework?

Which they have every right in this situation. Giving the Pelicans 2 players who haven’t played 60 games each the past two seasons is crazy. Both guys also have red flags moving forward with health and Ingram needs to be paid.

If Kuzma is a issue off the bench or at all they can flip him somewhere else

Consider the source, but Pels beat writer Fletcher Mackel seems convinced a Celtics deal be executed tonight.

No proof, just a feeling on his part.

Literally doesn't say they've agreed on a framework. Just that the Pelicans would like the Lakers to try to get something different for the #4 pick. No "agreement" at all.

The Pelicans will basically just turn into pre-LeBron Lakers if they do that deal since they'll then have Ingram, Ball and Randle. Maybe they can pick up Russell in FA and get the whole awful band back together.

Don't think they have. Remember last time LA's package leaked?

Danny will drop a bomb. Either way, Boston is in the cat bird seat. They can offer Tatum and ending it

Lakers offered Zo, Kuz, Ingram, Hart, Zubac, KCP, and a pair of first round picks at the deadline....so yes this would be highway robbery. I don't think it's going to be that easy though.

Nice to see Boston finally catching a break, that city really just hasn't had enough luck with sports.

Pre-Lebron Lakers with Zion is easily the best young team in the league
