We never really explored a trade scenario where Tatum isn't included.

Potential All-Star: Jaylen Brown
Former All-Star: Gordon Hayward
Two 1st round picks: #14, 2020 BOS 1st (top-10 protected)
Take on Solomon Hill expiring.

That's as low an offer as you can get lol. I guess it depends how Griff views Brown and Hayward's recovery.

Holiday / Brown / Hayward / Zion / FA or Randle would be an awesome starting five though. Could fight for 6th to 8th seed as soon as next season. We'll throw in Yabusele if that's what it would take.

Relax. That's not how you negotiate. If the Pelicans (slow ninja edit)think AD leaves here after a year, unprotected firsts are extremely valuable.

Then if it's offer Tatum or lose AD, at that point you agree.

I would loathe to send unprotected Boston firsts, at the very least unprotected in the top 3. In my opinion that would almost be a deal breaker for me

Lol I wonder if the Pels are so down on the Lakers they’d take a package without Tatum.

If only Hayward didn’t stink and we could possibly trade him.

Could that be enough?

Given Griffin's history, I think his #1 target is Tatum. His number 2 target is his #1 target. His number 3 target is his number 2 target.

I'd go so far right now to almost say Griffin probably wants Tatum more than Ainge wants Anthony Davis.... Ainge has to realize Davis could be a rental so of course that has to damper his enthusiasm somewhat.

I think Griffin may even appreciate Brown's game and how he has done relatively well in postseason but you need to get a perimeter shooter or at least a 2 way big to trade away Davis for a player(s).

Zion isn't nearly as good as a young Lebron IMHO but he is a somewhat similar player when it comes to team building. Get players that can space the floor for him so he has to beat 1 or 2 players driving to the basket and not 2 or 3.

If Brown goes out in a deal for Davis, I think it somehow in a 3 way trade where Pelicans get a fairly young shooter.

No way in hell do I value Brown at full market value in Pelicans' gm's shoes. Brown one more year to RFA and he is not a good fit with Zion in the halfcourt at least on the offensive end. If Brown really learns to shoot very well, different story but that is more of a gamble than the Pelicans gm should be making.

Brown and Ingram/Ball have more value to Pelicans if Pelicans think Zion has a good chance of being a complete bust that is let go after 2 years. Not many people think that right now. And yes, Zion could improve a lot as a shooter but tough to count on that right now....

“Okay..not only is he real, all of these teams are real and they’ve been asking about Anthony Davis for months! That’s all they’ve been talking about!”

The only other possibility is that we do Horford/Tatum, with Horford going to Houston and Capela to New Orleans ..

I don’t think we bail on Hayward like that ..

It’s possible we’d break our word to Baynes, which is gross..

Smart/Jaylen/Yabu/14 I think matches salary.. might have to add 20/22, Ojeleye, Williams or a s&t of Theis.. depends partly on the trade bonus..

Remember if we can somehow keep Tatum that could be another factor in Kyrie wanting to stay since he’s closest with him on the team.

He’s good friends with Davis, he’s close with Tatum, Durant is out for the next season. There’s no current superteam out there currently. With Boston you got your buddies and will be a part of a superteam that will imo will be title favorites. That’s a strong offer to pass on than say play with Jimmy Butler in Brooklyn and go nowhere lmao.

Windy on SC - pelicans don’t like the lakers offer which is why the lakers are shopping the #4 pick around. Pelicans are serious about making a move now

Lakers are probably trying hard to get Beal in the offer

except they don’t have anything WAS wants and WAS isn’t looking to get rid of Beal.

He also doesn’t seem to like Jaylen. Jaylen and Rozier seem to be Kyrie’s biggest enemies.

If the end of this is Rubio(MLE)/Tatum/Hayward/Davis/Horford, with Baynes, Rozier, Morris, Williams, the 51st pick, a BAE and some vet minimum signings.. that’s phenomenal..

Posting this "just for fun"... 'cos people keep maligning Hayward's most recent season...

He's either 1st or 2nd in almost every advanced stat category compared to the pupu players of the Lakers:

Image

If he were five or six years younger, even with the injury, Griffin would pick him because he impacts winning more than the players on the Lakers. But we already have Brown to offer as the young guy.

Pelicans are trying to compete right away and not tear it down. That's why they're keeping Holiday and telling the Lakers to peddle their young players and #4 for proven performers.

I'm not saying Griffin would love Hayward on their team, but those trio of Lakers have done diddly-squat in this league. Not even considering Ingram's blood clot, but LOL at that VORP and BPM. He was a negative value player last season.

Jimmy's not leaving Sixers to go to Brooklyn lmao. That's such a bull report. If Jimmy leaves he goes to a Texas team, in fact I would bet big money on him going to Dallas

If it’s a Jaylen Brown deal, the MEM pick, Williams, and the 3 2019 1sts could all be in the deal.. no idea how they’ll be priced.. Jaylen/Smart/Yabu/Williams/Ojeleye/14?

One team is enough to give LAL something to good for nb.4 and Pelicans will take their offer.
