By a country mile, it's not even close...

Our biggest free agent signing ever would be someone like Armen Gilliam....hell Travis Outlaw was one of the top ever.....

It really would be HUGE to get Irving in free agency. I'm personally dreaming about getting KD as well in spite of his serious injury.

No it means he’s almost certainly signing with the Nets then. Roc Nation Sports is owned by Jay-Z, who also has ownership on the Nets.
He sold it.
JayZ owned something like 1/1000 of 1% of the Nets.

Stop it, it's a reach...

They used to be in New Jersey, only recently moved to Brooklyn

So it's not that crazy to think. New Jersey doesn't have the panache of a New York address.

It's not crazy at all...if it happens, it's the biggest signing in Nets history.

The biggest free agent acquisition in franchise history so far was Armen Gilliam, may he rest in peace.

Let that settle for a moment.

This.

Once I started thinking about it, I can't recall a single time an unrestricted FA went to a team that had the cap space to sign him outright via a S&T.

Not under this CBA. The previous CBA allowed S&Ts to get the extra year & larger raises, so players pushed for it (Lebron was S&T to Miami). That's no longer possible.
Thank you! Glad someone understands that S&T were essentially made impossible in the most recent CBA.

Most importantly, Celts would be hard capped if they S&T Kyrie.

ROC Nation Sports reps 1 Nets player and players on ten other teams, too.

It's hilarious how delusional Celtics fans are. WHY would Nets send back anything when they have 2!!! MAX SPOTS OPEN. Common sense people.

BTW the DLO trade was a massive win/win for both teams 2 years looking forward. Mean while The Kyrie/IT trade was a massive lose/lose

Yeah I’m old, I remember. I just thought I might be forgetting someone. I can recall Mike Tyson, Eddie Murphy, and Whitney and Bobby all living there voluntarily. Seems like they could have landed someone at some time, but I guess not.

Outside of the stupid property taxes and cost of living in some areas, NJ isn't a bad place to live at all. Lots of nice suburban areas and depending on where you live you're not far away from Philadelphia or New York City.

Blazers east if everything goes well.

Besides I think it’s Kyrie and Butler anyway

am I weird for wanting to see Kyrie/Dlo/Lavert/Allen together over Butler instead of Dlo?

Kyrie and Russell could dominate the East if Allen makes the strides I’m expecting.

Doesn't Atkinson likes multiple ballhandlers at the same time?

Dinwiddie/DLo /Irving will just rotate.

Finally someone who asked right question. To play in Kenny's system and be successful you must have multiple players who can create for others. We over achieved last year and Kenny himself said it in post game interviews. There are planty of questions that Nets fans have about Kenny's system but not one will dispute that two ball handlers a must at all times.

Good luck to him if he does go elsewhere. No hard feelings. He was a wicked fun player to watch but incredibly frustrating to have on the team, regularly pouting for stupid reasons and calling out players and the coach in the media. Peace.

For all we know at the moment is that one domino been placed and rest is just going to be chain reaction. Marks definitely got bigger plan than just Kyrie and knowing the way he operates there's no telling, guy just won't leak no info.

Yep. He has always wanted a two PG backcourt.

Kyrie has played with a high usage player in LBJ and had plenty of oppotunities to get his.

Why is it now a problem with Russell and Kyrie? Makes no sense. Russell was the ultimate team player last season and will have 0 issue having a guy like Kyrie take some pressure off him.

If this does turn out to be true I expect Tobias or Butler to be the other target forming a solid trio.
