If Beal is on block I'd rather us deal with them. Not sure how we could pull it off but

Trade Kyrie to NJ for Napier and TPE

Tatum, Smart, Yasbule, #20, 2020 Boston 2nd rd pick

AD and 2nd rd pick

Then trade Jaylen Brown, TPE (for Kyrie)Memphis pick, and 22

For Beal

Resign Rozier, Morris and MLE a wing

Rozier
Beal
Hayward
AD
Horford

Bench
Morris
Napier
Baynes
Williams
MLE wing
And #14 pick

Pipe dream I know

Windhorst was just on ESPN Jump and basically said Pelicans are making Lakers' offer public as leverage so that Boston can raise their offer.

Stockpiling all those assets weren’t intended for a player who has one year left on his contract and how doesn’t want to come here.

That would be a desperate move on his part.

At some point you have to take that risk because there won't be a guy in his prime asking out with 4 years left on his contract. Unless it's Westbrook or Paul or Wall or some other overpaid guy you have to take the risk, trust your organizational culture and convince him to stay.
That worked out it would appear with Kyrie. Now The kd injury could change his little tinny selfish mind.

Conley's deal is relatively short, so it's not so bitter a pill.
And you cant just let Hayward walk lol

That's not how contracts work in the NBA

Hes on the team and will make a significant leap next year

I'd put easy money on it

once Hayward’s contract runs out you can let him walk. Also Explain to me how we can get mike Conley with the roster you stated.

Sounds like you're asking for a unicorn tbh. You want a top 5 superstar who is available for trade and eager to come specifically to Boston? Then chances are you're gonna be waiting for tatum and Brown's entire careers. It's hard enough to get a guy like AD as it is.

Sign and trade rozier.

But even without Conley it's not time to doom a gloom

Kyrie is overrated

What if they bring Rondo back on the vet minimum and make a run? Works for me.

I just can't believe Danny will miss this opportunity. This is not about can he but will he.

I remember 4-5 years ago when we were losing our minds about Love and Rondo and Fenway Park people were talking Danny's crown jewel and the guy he's chasing at the end of the rebuild is AD.

This is a guy who has the potential to be the best player in the league by a fine margin, one of the greatest PFs of all time, in his prime and at least 10 great years ahead of him. Idk how you don't do it, no matter what.

I guess it all comes down if you see his threats as something insurmountable and Lakers as a serious threat next summer. I don't so maybe I'm more inclined to do it so I hope Danny doesn't either.

I thought I was gonna have to write this, thanks.
Good assessment:

PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.

Why if the Celtics don't have to give him up?

Man, if SAC had been awful as planned we'd be getting AD no problem for Jaylen and that pick. Wonder if AD and Tatum stick around convinces Kyrie to stay.

C'mon lets get this show on the road. These teams need to realize this taking so long is a real inconvenience to us posters!

I doubt it gets done before the end of the finals. If GS wins today the deal won’t happen until Monday at the earliest. Silver has probably instructed teams to keep quiet if they have reached a deal.

Yes hard to blame Danny lot for Hayworth injury. I think Danny and like 99% of front office should be gone. It is just the way I think. Players not developing too soft a team on and on. I truly can't wait till Danny moves on or just consultant on trades. I also don't want to see him die on national TV.
I don't think players being soft has anything to do with Danny. I think that's just roster construction and Brad Stevens

Who constructed the soft rosters? Danny. Now I agree Brad is the biggest softy around. Listening to his same old lines must drive players nuts. Larry Bird said something about players not listening to coaches after 3 years? Time for a change. I don't think I take anymore of this old man basketball from the Celtics. Can a young team play any slower than last years Celtics? League might start to fold putting that crap on national TV couple times a week. I can't even imagine the embarrassment of watching the film of their weekly eggs that they **** out on national TV last season? Shocked any of them go out in public. Bet people point and laugh at them all the time all over the world.

Return to Boston Celtics
