Living proof that a middling team can turn it around without tanking, but with smart GMing and an emphasis on developing young talent. Sure a degree of luck factors in, a trade like Kawhi/DD isn't coming around very often, but they got the opportunity and seized it. Congrats Raptors.

Ujiri is the best GM in the league by a huge margin. DeMar and Casey must feel burnt pretty bad though, I'd bet anything they think they could've done the same thing Leonard/Nurse did.

The wiz are offering Ujiri a stake in ownership lol. Trying the good old Hornets-Jackson way, which didn't happen but still.

Gasol should send the Hornets a gift basket every year on the trade deadline for the rest of his life.

Congrats Raptors!

Anyway I just had some shower thoughts. We are not not the most hopeless franchise the league, it’s the Knicks. They had one of the most awful all around seasons a sports franchise can have. Traded their one young stud, lost in a extremely important lottery, a transcendent player had a foot in their door (along with a allstar sidekick) but then that player goes down with a career altering injury and that allstar side kick is instead gonna join the team down the street

Wow, just wow. I actually feel for the Knicks fans. Had so much hope in their hands and then had it all snatched away in the span of two weeks

Oh I almost forgot, they have a joke of a owner probably the worst in the league
Your Charlotte Hornets! We’ll eventually get something right;right?

Never forget, the 2019 Hornets won two games off the NBA champions. Praise thy father.

Well, Klay tore his ACL.

The west is wide open next year.

Gotta hand it to the Raptors, they saw an opportunity and pounced. Not many teams would put it all on the line like they did by grabbing Kawhi, but it worked out.

I feel bad for Curry next season. He looked like Kemba out there in the 4th.

Thompson tears his acl, eventually hits 2 free throws, runs back down the other end ready to D up and begs not to be taken out. Thats a damn man right there.

Did the basketball world just divide by zero?

Lin fans and Raptors fans both got a Championship. Is the Matrix Reloading? Is the Terminator respawning? Did the ISS fall out of orbit?

Rondo finished the game with a torn ACL. Any player in Thompson's position won't want to be taken out because it's the Finals.

Between KD and Klay's injuries, I honestly don't feel bad about Thompson's injury. Whenever I see him nowadays, all I can picture is his eye roll when he heard Kemba was named into the All-NBA 3rd Team.

So you lack compassion because he rolled his eyes?

If I feel Im one of the best guards in the league and an All NBA omission cost me tens of millions of dollars Id probably do more than roll my eyes.

Yes, because I'm petty like that. Lol.

Sure, he's entitled to have that reaction. But my gripe is when he had that reaction. He rolled his eyes when he heard Kemba's name, and not at the moment he heard that he was snubbed from the All-NBA.

The West, and NBA title in general is wide open next year. Really wonder what team is gonna step up and take it. While the Raptors can certainly take it again if Kawhi stays, Lowry will be another year older and could fall of a bit as he has reached his career goal, the Bucks got a lot of key guys on the market and I can’t see them making it to the finals with Bledsoe as their PG. Im not sure what team is about to step up and become the next major contender, but please don’t let it be the Lakers lol

Its time for Chris Paul to win a ring.

I'm hoping for Westbrook and OKC to figure it out.

I also wonder if Morey would still be keen to trade CP3/Capela/Gordon now that the West is wide open.
