Was an obvious move even before Klay's injury. You gotta get a superstar when you have the chance.

Bye Taco Jay, bye JB. With Durant and Klay out for so long, the league is wide open. I think if we don't make moves, Kyrie leaves. We're stuck with too good-but-not-great talents, a Wild Card in Hayward and an aging Horford. No way we contend with such a team. But if we can acquire Davis, I am optimistic Irving will stay.

**** it, even if AD leaves, having a 1-2 punch of Davis-Irving for just one year (with Horford - assuming Gordon will be the one sacrificed to match salaries -, hopefully Smart, a solid supporting core and Coach Brad) may be enough to get Banner 18. Better go all-in for one year than be on the brink for five. Trader Danny, do your magic.

Maybe Ainge and Griffin were just waiting for the Finals to be over. We could get some Celtics positive news tomorrow. Or not. Stay tuned!

Who's volunteering to pack Tatum and Brown bags tonight?

With Klay and KD down for most, if not all of next season, teams are going to be bolder with their offseason moves. Price tag for AD likely just went up because Danny Green challenged a breakaway layup by Klay. Unreal. No way Ainge can keep Tatum off the table now if he's serious about this AD pursuit. More bidders outside of Lakers, I imagine.

CJ, Collins, Turner, 25, Blazer 2020 1st for AD/Hill/ETwaun matches salary almost perfectly. All star, future all star, picks.

29, $18Mish (didn't run real #s) in cap space to add a vet center and another piece. Maybe Dedmon and Corey Joseph types?

Jrue, CJ, Zion, Randle, Dedmon,
Joesph, ET, Collins, Kenrich
29, other

(Swap ET/Randle if Zion plays 4)

Portland:
Dame, MLE, Harkless, AD, Nurkic
Seth, Hood, Layman, Aminu, Leonard

Pretty tasty for both sides.

If Lakers get AD, they'll get someone with the rest of their cap space too. Then they are the favorites to win it next year with these Warriors injuries.

My question for all those that don't want to trade for Tatum, is are you ok with sitting on your hands and letting the Lakers catch and probably pass us in all time championship wins? Are you so confident in Tatum getting us there someday that you're willing to hand our arch nemesis that outcome, not to mention more LBJ titles?

If the Lakers get Davis I don’t know if I can watch the NBA next season.

LeBron gets the help he needs like usual, Davis can be a douchebag in LA and the Warriors won’t be around to stop them.

And who knows what our roster would end up looking like.

Ugh. Please don’t happen.

I think we will pack Jayson's bags along with that MEM pick potentially and Marcus Smart.

I'm done with playing around. With Klay going down it's now or never. I definitely don't feel like the Raptors are unbeatable. It's time to go for it.

Raptors are absolutely not unbeatable. Philly nearly knocked them out and look at how well we played against Philly.

Massive off season for Danny. Defines the next decade.

Agreed...LA will probably get Kawhi to go with AD and LeBron.....Ainge needs to stop it.

Green front? Kawhi is staying in Toronto. There's a very real chance AD is in Boston by tomorrow, imo.

Would absolutely SUCK to not be a real contender next year. In a year where it will be absolutely wide open. No warriors to stand in anyone's way. I would be sick to my stomach.

Yep. Completely agree. Danny needs to probably to visit the one illuminati in New York and then trade for Davis.
