The warriors certainly gained a lot of respect from me. Klay is hardcore and as dangerous as they come on court. I even stopped hating on Green a bit because... I am sure theres more to him then he let's on. I am sure his personal is part of why he overachieve on court. Iggy is a winner.

Cousins has a teenager's brain and a flopper though.

Congrats to the raptors. Sadly I fell asleep after Klay left the game and missed the ending/celebration.

A huge congratz to the Raptors for making basketball fans believe in the impossible and implanting the seed of drive and hope to current players and rookies to be.

This is a great testament that not only talents are needed to win championships, you also need a solid suporting cast, ability to make tough decisions in trades/draft and the often unsung medical and nutrition staff behind the scenes.

Its like 2004 again and next season is like a breadth of fresh air to the league. Wide open conference titles to be fighting for.

Probably be flamed for this but karma often strike when one is unaware. Zaza's antics on Kawhi and Green's comments of "we won it without you" should serve some notice on how one should behave.

This series sure felt like a major case of basketball karma came back to bite the Warriors in the butt.

It was bad enough when they brought KD into the fold but once they brought in Boogie the basketball gods were not pleased with them trying to further cheapen the process of winning championships.

Congrats Raptors fans, y'all have a deep and cohesive team with a good coach. Hope Kawhi stays. Oh, and there are no asterisks on championships, your team earned it 100%.

Congratulations to the Raptors for a well-earned victory. Lots of veterans on that team that deserved this success.

Kawhi gets his due after the unfortunate events of the 2017 WCF and the questions that were raised afterward regarding his injury with the Spurs. He's been vindicated by this series in more than one way. Lowry gets to shed his not good enough to go all the way label. Gasol joins his brother with a ring. Ibaka gets one after all the missed promise with the Thunder. Even Jeremy Lin can say he has a ring while Melo doesn't!

Just wanna say Klay has converted me into a huge fan of his moving forward. I just love the heart he's got, the definition of a warrior in every way including the bad pun.

Congrats to Toronto. They've shown how taking chances and being aggressive results in success.

They were willing to pay Masai and pull him away from Denver, weren't afraid to change coaches, traded away all-star/20+ ppg DeRozan for an elite talent & free-agent-to-be who only played in 9 games the season prior, and positioned themselves to make a mid-season deal to land Gasol. The organization wasn't complacent and made their own opportunities with the intent of winning a championship and it worked. The Raptors might not be a team suited to win a series of NBA titles like many teams historically do in the NBA, but they sure as hell earned this one.

I thought this was maybe the Warriors purest finals performance. Injuries stripped them down, but they kept swinging. They were just a little too weak on the back end of their roster and Cousins turned out to be a poor fit for their style of play, and his injuries set him back so that he couldn't even be the best version of him. While I'm not revelling in Durant's absence, I never felt like he was a Warrior that made that team such thrilling entertainment. He was just a great player on tour. So, to see the old core scrap it out was really enjoyable.

The Raptors were just perfectly constructed to be an underdog champ. Superstar and a bunch of just past prime stars that can still drop 20 and up and comers like Siakam and VanVleet. As a diehard day 1 Raps fan, this won't go down as a great title win in the context of history, but it feels like everything to me right now and that's all that matters. There are so many ghosts you have to live with when you're on the outside looking in. The 3-1 lead was torture because of the potential for extreme heartache. Danny Green throwing the ball away was just what happens to fans in that situation. So, I'm glad the exorcism has taken place!

They've put one on every championship in the internet era. I'm pretty sure the last legit championship to one of them is one of the Jordan ones back in the day.

Congrats Toronto. You beat my team, the Bucks, and you whipped GS. Outstanding.
