If the basketball gods came for the Warriors, the asterisk chumps should be worried then. Beating up people, cheering injuries, etc.

For those who claim the Raptors win was illegitimate because of injuries to GS, we only have to go back to 2015 when Kyrie Irving only played one game in the finals, and Kevin Love didn't play at all.

I felt like klay was 60 point hot all series had it not been for our defense, the guy might of had the most effective finals I've ever seen

The Raptor Dynasty has officially begun! Steph had a chance to tie the series and showed that he is a 2nd-tier star. King Kawhi the Sensational KLaw is sitting on the throne as the greatest basketball player in the world. This is it for Golden State, they had an exceptional run, and now it is Toronto's turn. Steph's legacy was artificially inflated by KD and Klay, his legacy will never recover from this blow. Defense and depth win championships! Your back-to-back champions, your Toronto Raptors, long live King Kawhi, long live the KLaw, long live Lowry. You know what it is, friends.

Congratulations! As someone who's always had a soft spot for the Raptors, it's good to finally see you guys win one. One of the most classy (despite some of the recent crap) and most passionate fan bases. Now all you Raptors fans on RealGM have a legit reason to talk **** and be annoying :D .

If there were one true weakness of this Dynasty it was this. It was a problem from year one and it never got fixed. Ryen Rusillo has a great quote where he considers the Warriors/many of its players the 'dumbest smart team in the league.' So many brilliant IQ things happen but then just a flurry of dumb mistakes. Its like bizarro Toronto, who until the Milwaukee series underachieved because all of their smart players overthought things and constantly passed up good shots in an attempt to create great ones (which just resulted in bad ones because its hard to get great shots in the playoffs consistently).

Congratulations for the Championship Toronto, very well deserved, now it is time to enjoy and being part of history
like the commissioner said, the basketball circle came to a close, invented in Canada and now the championship goes to Canada.
I still remember when my Heat won their first one back in 2006, awesome feeling. Enjoy

Golden State is sloppy and delicate. They had a great run, and it's over now. Next year's real NBA Finals will be between Toronto and Brooklyn!

I AM SOOOO HAPPY!!! From a little kid watching this team... seeing the Grizzlies move... people saying the Raptors will relocate... the Vince years... the Bosh era... Bargnani...

Random hack contracts for Hedo, Jason Kapono, Demarre Caroll...

NO ONE CAN TAKE THIS MOMENT FROM US.

Weird to finally hear some basketball discussion ITT

But seriously, I wouldn't say most of GS's turnovers are "dumb mistakes", but rather a side effect of the way their KD-less offense flows. It's all about making difficult and unexpected passes to get the opposition scrambling so they can generate open looks for the Splash Bros. Think about Steph's weird over-the-head passes that looks like he's throwing the ball into the stands until it ends up in Draymond or Cousin's hands at the elbow.

The problem is that Toronto is an elite defensive team that specializes in generating turnovers and is also a killer in transition so they can take advantage of GS's proclivity to turn the ball over and make them pay dearly more than almost any other team they could've faced. The Warriors didn't have many weaknesses, but it just so happened that one of their only ones played right into the hands of one of the Raptors' biggest strengths. It's a matchup-driven League at the highest levels, and one of the reasons why the NBA is so fascinating.

It’s not even the ones caused by Toronto. It’s the weird unforced ones. The cross court 40 foot passes. The lazy passes in traffic. The bullet passes at close range. It was the sloppiest finals basketball I’ve ever seen.
