"I don’t have any interest in being mediocre for the next 10 or 15 years," Grousbeck added. "I’d rather go for it, hit the driver, off the fairway, I occasionally do that. Absolutely that Kyrie trade (with Cleveland in 2017) felt like the right thing to do and was the right thing to do.

"I completely share Danny’s outlook and support it, of looking at options that are aggressive and could lead to a championship. That’s the mindset."

Sarcasm. Again, if Tatum is the only thing that gets this trade done, and Danny doesn't trade Tatum, and he screwed up.

And then he doesn't offer Tatum. "Aggressive"

If Mannix is right, we actually depend on Kyrie for us to get Davis. Either that or Pels just realize that our Brown trade is just better than the Lakers one and pull the trigger.

Maaan, I wish Kyrie grew some... and tried again with us

Why not 1+1 and join KD next year if **** doesn’t work out?

Time to deal Jayson Tatum, let go off Terry Rozier. Maybe even Jaylen Brown, and build around Kyrie and AD. Time to start building a team with better chemistry. It is never going to be 100 percent, but at least make it workable.

You take a chance to win, and deal with whatever the outcome is later.

Sounds like the owners are with me and the other, "Let's go for it now" crowd. That's good to hear........but until we get AD it's all talk. Be aggressive like you're claiming to be and go get your guy. You've been gathering assets and making moves/not making moves for this EXACT moment. You can't mess this up.

So basically, by trading for a guy with one year left on his contract and hoping he stays, the Celtics are insane.

Spoiler:
Actually, that is not the definition of insanity at all, yet it’s referenced in the media all the time as fact to make people sound smarter than they are. And, the original quote is not even attributed to Einstein. In fact, it’s unknown who first said it but people always credit him with it.

Really makes my blood boil. :nonono:

What does it all mean?
Kyrie is staying and we’re getting AD without sending Tatum of course!

That's not the definition of insanity, and Einstein never said it was.

What Mannix said makes sense - it’s also potentially a negotiating ploy, with the hope New Orleans blinks and settles for the Smart/Jaylen/14/Yabu offer..

If everyone ends up in the West we could win it without Kyrie/AD.

Add Rondo, Capela, and some picks last year's playoff team and we could come out of the East.

And West will be an all out war. Those teams would beat the heck out of each other and go to the Finals wounded.

Tatum/Brown and Lakers trading guys must feel like crap lol. If Tatum stays and becomes elite, he wont forget this.

Year is 2024,Jayson Tatum just won his first MVP title and requests to be traded.

The other wrinkle will be trying to get Davis to sign an extend and trade.. if we can do that without giving up Tatum or the MEM pick, and at least get a promise from Kyrie to do a sign and trade if he doesn’t stay... we’ll be in good shape

Yeah. It was actually said by Maya Angelou, and the last part is “different results”, not “a different result”

Kyrie is a Brooklyn Net. He’s not playing in Boston even if KD and LeBron and AD came. He has an issue with Boston. The fans did not kiss his behind enough to stay. Kyrie is a scum.
