Warriors basically just coast next season, win the lottery. Get Thompson and Durant back following year. That'd be insane, and entirely possible.

I don't feel any sympathy for the Warriors. They're been in the Finals for 5 straight years, they'll survive.

I think Durant is gone even if he ops into his deal, he only has one year left on his deal and is at least going to be out all of next season. He lost a LOT of money in game 5

Random stat I just saw: Danny Green is the second Tar Heel to win NBA championships with multiple teams. The other? Mitch Kupchak.

Hornets open with worst odds of any NBA team to win 2020 title, below Atlanta, Cleveland, Chicago, Orlando, Knicks, Suns. 50,000 to 1

While the Raptors can certainly take it again if Kawhi stays, Lowry will be another year older and could fall of a bit as he has reached his career goal, the Bucks got a lot of key guys on the market and I can’t see them making it to the finals with Bledsoe as their PG. Im not sure what team is about to step up and become the next major contender, but please don’t let it be the Lakers lol

I'm hoping for Westbrook and OKC to figure it out.

Imagine if Houston wins next season?

That'd mean Durant, Harden and Ibaka would all have rings.

Westrbook, the only OKC hold over, would not.

Where is he going and how much is he getting next season:

DeMarcus Cousins.

He's an UFA - but I think he's looked pretty ordinary.

With Durant and Thompson out I could see him actually sticking around the Warriors and teaming up with curry next year to help them get back into the playoffs.

But yeah, he looks very ordinary in the playoffs. He still needs another 6 months to get his body right I think. I don't ever see him getting back to his Sacramento dominant days. Plus the games kind of not a good fit for his style anymore.

He is going to get paid somewhere IMHO. Too many teams have too much cap space. Someone is going to end up throwing it at him.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

His "bully ball" style in the playoffs just made him look uncoordinated and lacking any sort of BBIQ to me.

The amount of off balanced, desperate heaves and clankers he tossed up were alarming.

You're probably right - but I think that team will regret it.

He's going to be 29 in Aug and his game play looked terrible to me.

Knicks. I would totally wager on the Knicks ending up with Cousins.

I just found the 2011 draft thread from this place, and I must say I acquitted myself rather well. and I was absolutely right about Kawhi. I will now hang up and pat myself on the back.

Yep. So many good players and we fell in love with Biyombo. Can't blame us really, NBA was a different time then and you absolutely needed a rim protector

Counterargument - the NBA was at that very moment in time transitioning to a game where centers were in decline and 3s were becoming more important. The team's decision makers failed to recognize what was happening ... but other teams were already capitalizing on it.

Yes, it is possible to blame 'us.'

can players bet on the NBA?

Could be a good way to form a super team. Tell all the stars to get in at that odds, then sign here for the minimum.
Heck, MJ can put the bet on for them and let them share the winnings.

$1 million at 50,000 to 1 = 50000000000
