Every player from the Rockets is questionable because of HOU style of play.

I wouldn't get Capela because he can't stay on court in playoffs. But then again, see the disclaimer above.

But he’s a huge help in actually getting to the playoffs and that’s what the Mavs need more than anything. Worry about playoff matchups once we actually get there, not before... Also, Carlisle is a lot better of a coach than D’antoni so take that into account as well

I don't know, man. For Powell, for instance, we know he can put the ball on the floor, finish with elite efficiency at the rim and shoot an occasional three. Definitely would rather take/retain him over Capela.

I’d rather have Capela, but only because he’s younger and can actually start for us. Powell is good, but I think this is his ceiling... Not sure Capela has reached his

Perfectly fine if it's TE + 1st for Capela. All of a sudden, the Mavs could attract some one as final piece after this trade.

Mavs cannot and should not deal any more 1st rounders. If you meant 2nd rounder, then I’m on board with that

The Pelicans have agreed to a deal to trade Anthony Davis to the Lakers for Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, and three first-round picks – including the No. 4 overall in 2019 Draft, league sources tell ESPN.

Could mean Kemba to LA if they work some more magic.

What about a swap of first round picks?

I'd still like the Mavs to consider a CP3 trade though, so long as they also get Capela. It would have to be 2 separate deals though I think.

First:
Capela for the TPE

Second:
CP3 future first (Morey can put in his creative protections) for THJ, Lee, Justin Jackson, and #37

CP3/JJ Barea/Brunson
Luka/Devin Harris/Broekhoff
DFS/Luka/Broekhoff
KP/Powell/Kleber
Capela/Kleber/Powell?

I'm assuming the Mavs can convince Barea and Harris to re-sign for the vet min. Hopefully that's enough for them both.

Then they can use any kind of exceptions on an upgrade to the SF position

Probably not enough for Houston to bite though tbh. They'd probably want to keep their first, and ask for the right to swap first round picks with us in 2020.

So.. Utah trades Crowder, Grayson Allen and 40 year old Kyle Korver plus a 30 something pick to Memphis for Mike Conley.

We cant do better?

I think if we really wanted Conley, Brunson + Jackson+ Powell + #37 would have trumped the Utah offer.

But maybe we werent into Mike Conley I'd assume.

I thought the Grizz got 2 first round picks in the deal?

I do think he goes to LA but to the Clippers not the Lakers. I think he teams up with Kawhi on the Clippers.
