I agree, but it was wasn’t a popular opinion at the time. Everyone loved Jaylen and we nearly made the Finals and there was a lot of unknown to Kawhi’s injury. And Kawhi may have left anyways.

People can criticize Ainge and that’s certainly fair to a degree, but the freak Hayward injury killed us in a lot of ways.

Probably. Just know that he wanted to go to LA and Lebron had been reported recruiting him. A big three of Lebron, AD, and Kawhi sounds intimidating though. But no depth.

$75,221,858 in salary cap allocated for next season for 5 players (LeBron, AD, Kuzma, Wagner, & Bonga) as well as Luol Deng's stretched cap-hit.

So roughly $34 Million in cap space left to fill out the roster.

Another max player would be a BAD idea IMO unless it's Kawhi. They need depth. Ask the Warriors, and ask almost every title-contending team that lost to them in the playoffs over the past few years. Solid 8-man rotation should be a bare minimum. Also they need to sign multiple players who are good 3-point shooters.
