Awful by Pels. Couldn’t even get one star or future star for AD. Couldn’t even dump Solomon Hill.

Some of you people blow my mind..... Unbelievable.

Ingram was in the middle of breaking out last year. If he is healthy there is a good chance he will be an allstar player to go with Zion. Also, number 4 obviously has a good chance of becoming a star. Ball could also finally break out. The Pels are rebuilding. They aren't trading AD for another single star. The fact that this needs to be explained to half of this board is ridiculous.

So Lebron has now played with at the time 2nd best SG top 3 PF, then top 5 PG and Kevin Love, Now a top 2 PF and possibly one of the best PG in the league coming but look at his supporting casts lol

Same for every top team...

E.g. Injury to KD, Curry, Kawhi, Harden, Gianni's, etc. And those teams are toast.

Difference is that LeBron just tore his groin last season and AD hasn’t played 82 games in a season since entering the league IIRC.

I'd take the #8 and #10 picks from the Hawks if they offered it for the #4 spot. #8 and #17 I'm not as sure about. Though I will say that the #4 spot isn't great for the Pelicans, no real good fits there. Hunter could be good, but you'd have to move Ingram to the two.

Time will tell. Lakers won for now (assuming AD signs). The team who gets the best player usually wins. It comes down to this 4 pick, and there's no clear potential stars at 4 IMO

Lakers traded a young supporting cast for a player they could have got as a free agent. There is absolutely no way this is anything other than an l for la.

Pelicans just became contenders. Lakers just became overrated

It's kind of funny how, not saying you did this, everyone on realgm has been calling Ingram damaged goods, Lonzo a bust, this only a 3 person draft, and Hart a role player.... now some of the same people are saying NO won the trade.

Lakers just got a top 5 player to go with LeBron and Kuzma, and now have max money to get Jimmy, Kyrie, Kemba, or maybe even Kawhi.

I have no idea how you think that's not a contender.

I took a quick nap and the entire landscape of the NBA changed.

How the hell did the Lakers keep Kuzma?

Congratulations to the Lakers if this is real. Ainge passed up on another chance for a top top player. :-? Pelicans should have demanded Kuzma instead of Ingram. I have always maintained that Kuzma is the better player.

Hey Pels. Zion, BI, and Zo are gonna be special. Just be patient. And don't be us and take the major chances we have taken. We will be top heavy like the Warriors. Hopefully injuries don't hit and we sign good role players.

Lebron and AD got well rested last year.

Could they have? Who's to say AD wouldn't sign with the Knicks and capitalize on his Bird rights? Also, LeBron's declining and wants to win now. Pelicans could make the playoffs. They are the contenders, if healthy

Celtics weren't willing to give up Tatum, Rich Paul was killing the chances of other teams giving significant offers, think it can work out for LA, but still have to feel like they were almost bidding against themselves.

Yes well anyone who thought lonzo doesn't have a basic grasp of basketball. Lonzo's close to an elite defensive anchor and passer and has the speed to offer a scoring threat. Trading him and bi, three potential roleplayers, and depth for good measure without getting any cap space is absolutely hilarious. Lakers tryna take a shortcut and they're gonna get burned for it.

People keep talking about what the Pels didn’t get - Kuzma - I think that run by Ingram this season shows that him at full health will be a better player than Kuzma. I’m not sold on Lonzo or Hart for that matter but let’s give Lonzo another chance with an injury free pre-season. I’m impressed with the haul of picks - especially the #4 pick which I would be comfortable with them trading down on as there’s any number of worthy number 4s after the consensus top 3 guys go.

But I said last year that the Lakers package was always going to be the one that was the thickest. The Pels had to finally pull the trigger and Griffin did what he had to.

Now will the Pels be contenders? Hell no they’re way too young. But it’s not a stretch to say they’ve got 4 potential all stars on their roster come October and 2 potential all NBA talent. If they can develop and keep some of that talent and stay relatively healthy, could they be contenders in ‘21 and ‘22 and beyond? For sure. One thing I know given Davis’ determination to get out of NO. The Pels are a lot better off today than yesterday.

As for the Lakers - I will agree this makes them contenders but it’s a super top heavy team. They literally have no-one outside of LBJ, Davis and Kuzma. Let them make a run at Kemba or if unable, Butler and they’re in the box seat in the west.

Ultimately a win for both teams and finally a win for Rich Paul.

The Lakers probably wanted to include Kuzma instead of Ingram I'm sure.
