Is it? He isn't very good.

It is. And no one is claiming he's a superstar. He's a good, young player on a rookie contract that can do a little of everything. Perfect player next to a couple of superstars.

Kuzma was reportedly NO's top desire.

This sucks for pelicans. Worse offer than last year, knew they would lose leverage when Danny backed out and was all talk.

Considering they are going to get another MAX player, there is no way the 2023 pick will be anything outside the 20s. They should be a top 5 team for the next 4 years.

I'm really surprised people are giving Ball so much value. He hasn't shown much at all in his career so far. NOP should view this as just taking a flyer on him and hoping he breaks out. NOP should definitely draft Garland as their PG of the future.

if you saw what lonzo did at ucla, he makes other players better
give lonzo shooters and you'll see his true value
agree that pels should draft garland if possible

Eh - I think they are better off getting more picks over Kuzma... he's nothing special.

IF Ingram stays healthy this could work out well for NO... if not then they better hope those picks (which they did load up on) turn into something

Unless they make AD a jump shooter like RuPaul Bosh and Kevin Love

Kidding.

Doubt that actually happens.

But got damn. AD rolling down the middle in a 4 on 3 situation is mad nice.

If you're the Lakers of course you do this. You're in the LeBron timeline, he doesn't have time to babysit, he's 34 years old.

Getting AD in his prime is a coup for the Lakers because now you can add better vets around them, as well as still holding on to Kuzma? This is a win for LA.

Pelicans getting Ball, Ingram (they didn't have a good SF), and Hart as well as getting 3 picks including the #4 pick this year is really good for NO, and you're adding Zion or that mix. They'll be a good team in 2-3 years.

Biggest loser is Boston. Now their hopes of paring Kyrie with AD goes up in smoke.

Its only cuz he off the Lakers now. Don't get too mixed up in it. He was a bum before he was traded.

Personally, I think he is going to be good.

Lakers should use the remaining cap space to field depth.

They should look at what happened to GS when KD then Klay went down.

Being top heavy isn’t a good thing.

Raptors had depth, weren’t special players at all but they had enough depth.

Sure they could. I'd rather have Mitchell Robinson than Ball or Ingram. And the #3 pick is better than the #4. Plus the Knicks have the Mavs picks to offer.

My guess is that the Knicks either decided not to make a trade for AD or they just weren't willing to offer more.

Knicks were a long way away from trading for AD. Needed two studs to come first and THEN trade. NO wanted to do so before FA opened. Sorry, nope. What the hell good is trading for a guy who's agent said he's not re-signing and decimating your assets to do it and leaving AD with a much worse team than he left? That would have been asinine.

Once LeBron joined the Lakers...the ball was out of Lonzo's hands.

Lonzo thrives with the ball in his hands making plays. He makes his teammates better.

TJ Leaf's bumas s would not have been drafted in the first round after playing with 'zo at UCLA

Lonzo gonna have the ball in his hands most of the time, making plays for his teammates. PLUS Alvin Gentry's open run & gun style is a perfect fit.

With all due respek...Luke Walton was NOT the fit as a coach.

We’ve already had one rental diva that accomplished something, why bet the farm on one who can’t manage his way out of the second round?

This is a win for the Celtics, no matter how much you want to convince yourself otherwise.

Lakers are cementing themselves as hot trash for many seasons to come.

Lakers and Houston are both capable of winning the West, especially Houston, but both teams are injury-prone :)
