It does seem pretty quiet. I feel like everyone is waiting for the AD domino to fall

there's the Claxton going top 20 rumor (Atlanta?)

Garland to Phoenix rumor

Hunter/Rui getting top 10 promises

other than not much, I think everyone waiting to see what happens with the 4th pick, considering that's when the draft starts essentially.

But why?? What exactly does he do for the team? Solid 3rd guard on a team that doesn't have 1 or 2?

Rui. Best fast break player of them all, definitely a better perimeter defender than Grant (probably Kabengele too). Rui has the most accomplished three point shot of them all.

So, best
-perimeter defender
-fast break player
-three point shooter

Rui also has a sick mid-range pull up.

Did you just say Rui and defender in the same comparison?? There is NOTHING Rui does better than Grant on the defensive end.

Yeah none of these 3 have a high volume of 3 point attempts to gauge their usage in that area, Rui is not a solid defender and the other 2 are serviceable , Grant is undersized but highly skilled at the 4, Rui is plenty athletic and does a lot of scoring abilty around the basket, Kabengele has stretch potential and is a good rim protector etc.

played decent enough out of position when the starting pg went down showing he can at least handle some initiating responsibilty in the NBA and is a high level off ball shooter and solid on ball defender with good length lateral speed etc.
He has starter potential for sure.

I do like Bol's potential fit with Zion, but everything we're hearing makes trading down seem like the right move. Maybe get in touch with Atlanta?

another interesting idea i had...turn Ball around to Chicago for WC3, and take Garland 4th.

Garland
Jrue
Ingram
Zion
WC3

Griff can really make something happen here if he's creative

You could be right, but I wouldn't listen to that deal if I were the Bulls.

Yeah I definitely wouldn't trade WCJ for Ball. I would say 7 is still on the table, though.

Out of the three players listed who would you two want to defend Paul George or Klay Thompson or Bradley Beal?

If you to don't pick Rui to be the guy to defend those all of those three (between Rui, Grant Williams and Kabengele) then I will simply disagree and leave it at that.

I also said Rui is the most accomplished three point shooter of the three, I didn't say he was a good three pounds by shooter (although I do expect he will be).

I would NEVER do that trade if I were the Bulls.

Ball is incredibly injury prone and people sleep on how valuable WC Jr could end up being. Look at Al Horford, who he reminds most people of...except he's taller/longer and has more offensive upside. There's no way I give up that potential for an often injured Ball who's dad would also turn everything into a soap opera.

However if I'm David Griffin, I'd 100% pursue that and would even find another smaller asset to include in order to get WC Jr and if they did, I would absolutely love the Pelicans' upside but I don't see that happening.

I am very interested to see now who the Pels take #4 overall considering it seems that Griffin's desire is for NOP to remain relatively competitive so I could see him rolling with Lonzo/Jrue since Rondo/Jrue was a similar dynamic with Lonzo having greater upside so Garland may not be a shoe in...
