They'd have to get those Mavs picks also.

Apparently NO managed to get a lot of draft picks from the Lakers.... more than I expected them to give up (esp when you consider the swaps)

It was reported as 3 (1st's) & a future Pick swap. Ramona's report was wrong.

So it's:

4th pick
2021 (1st)
2023 (1st)
1 Pick swap

That's a lot of picks... but I do wonder of NY offered up the Mavs picks.

It sounds like NY backed down if reports can be believed

I don't really know of the Lakers won this trade.

AD is a amazing talent, but LBJ is in his 35 year old season, AD has had some injury concerns, and they are not exactly loaded with depth.

Also, who says he will even be in LA long term, and if he resigns, it will be pretty hard to add more.

But for at least next year, they should be much better.

The lakers should someday try drafting and developing talent, and put themselves in a position to grow organically. They have little to no vision in that front office of theirs.

I would still say the Pels are way better set for the future, and the Celtics were right to not give away so many assets. Hell they may try and pick him up for free next year lol

there were never using the #4th pick and if they do this summer right the 2021 is meaningless.
its :
2019 4th
2021 protected 1st
2024 unprotected first
2023 pick swap.

not as bad (outside of the 2024) that people think.

This is an ABSOLUTE DISGRACE. David Stern would've NEVER let this happen.

Yeah. The 2023/2024 picks will likely determine who ultimately wins this deal.

2021 will be a pick that's very low. Mid-Late 20's.

The odds are likely in L.A.'s favor.

I think getting Williamson softened NO stance.

They didn't want to draft him and still have chaos around.

What I'm seeing-

No. 4 pick in 2019
Top-8 protected in 2021, becomes unprotected in ‘22
Unprotected swap in ‘23
Unprotected first in ‘24
Unprotected swap in ‘25

Here come Laker fans to stick out their chests again...I already miss the humility the losing seasons brought.

Lakers are running out of numbers to retire. Pau is due up and when LBJ and AD bring a couple of ships to LA they will get retired not to mention the 3rd star! Laker haters in shambles.

Lakers gave up theirs best high ceiling assets plus 3 future first round picks, 2 when high schoolers get to apply. Add one unprotected and a swap on top.

That’s a lot for most teams to recover but we did get a prime AD, easily the best player in the trade. We still have LeBron and somehow kept Kuzma. Now we add another max guy plus all vet/min guys and some rookies.

Well done NO but Lakers are a serious threat now esp if they can land a Kemba or Kyrie at point.

Not Yo Ham Lakers!

The Don and The King!
