3/20. He underperformed his contract this year and shot extremely bad. He is what he is which is an ok backup pg who tries hard but makes too many low iq plays and cannot run an offense.

I hope to god he's the first guy we renounce if we're playing with cap space.

I'm not as harsh on him as pacers33granger above me is. He didn't have a great year, as we had hoped, but he played every night, and he played really solid defense, a lot of times on the opposing teams lead guard and threat. Had some poor 3 pt shooting months and a couple months shooting the 3 really well last year. Shot awful as a starter, but was awesome defensively in that role. He's basically a lesser version, though younger, of Pat Beverley. Beverley should sign first, and then Joseph should get about 80% of what he signs for. I'd say he gets some MLE offers, and maybe someone goes a touch into cap space to offer him more than the MLE to get him. He'll be a defensive specialist for them who hopefully gets his shot back.

I like Joseph. He plays within himself and he plays hard. I've thought about him for the Kings but I also question how much better he is than Ferrell. Ferrell plays hard, is a great 3pt shooter, and is a pesky defender. I think Joseph is better defensively but a worse shooter. The Kings may ultimately look for a backup PG who can actually run an offense though.

He could be a full MLE guy. Great rotation guard and can run a team if needed.

Very solid rotation guard who can fill in as a spot starter. He's nominally a point guard, but the Pacers also played him a lot as a smallish wing. He didn't have a good year, but CoJo is pretty much a known commodity at this point and I think teams will price that accordingly. He's not a big impact guy, but his versatility means he can fill a lot of roster holes.

Full MLE seems a bit of a stretch; I think he will get a little less than that. And if he gets squeezed out (which is very possible, I don't think anyone is looking at him as a top target) then he could be a value signing for some contender.

I know we'll never see eye to eye on CoJo, but he's far less than 80% of Beverley. Beverley is the better defender, far better on offense, and is an actual starting level guard. I'd compare CoJo more to a TJ McConnell or Ish Smith.

But he's never had a shot. He had two pretty good years in SA, that's it. I see him as having a total of one good shooting month this year. In October (only 8 games), his TS% was .603. The remaining months were .499, .510, .449, .518, .324, and .409. And this is not a fluke as he shot .568 the October before and then shot no higher than .517 and as low as .445 in the remaining months. His Raptors tenure is not any better.

He's basically Canadian Rozier. I simply cannot see anyone dipping into cap space to give him a Marcus Smart like contract. Someone may be stupid enough to use their MLE on him though.

He's better than Yogi, but not by much. I'd just keep Yogi as CoJo doesn't really fit what you would likely be looking for (actual PG, able to hit a shot).

Uh, yeah. We definitely disagree. 35-36% from 3 is a big difference from his 32% this past season. CoJo is not Beverley, but he’s also not McConnell or Ish. I see him closer to Beverley based on his tremendous defensive play and sometimes passable shooting.

He was a bad shooter last season too. I'm not sure how that's up for debate. He sported a .503 TS%, .002 higher than Rozier this year which is well regarded as an abysmal shooting year. Monta Ellis never shot that bad for us and Rodney Stuckey shot better than that for us his first two years. He's been well below average every year except his contract year in SA and only shot 5 times a game. The stats are abundantly clear that his percentages go down with even a tiny increase in shots.

He's never had a shot and no team in their right mind would want him shooting unless it's the last resort. He does one thing ok and that's defense, but he most certainly is not tremendous on that end.

I’m solely lookin at his shot beyond the arc. I don’t expect anyone to chase after him and ask him to play a dribble drive system as a lead PG. I expect teams to pick him up as a 3&D style low usage PG to stand around the arc. That’s why I’m saying if he gets back up to 35-36% from beyond the arc, he’s very usable.

Terrible overall shooter? Yes. But have him specialize as 3&D, and his shooting is less of a hindrance.

But defense? Yes he was tremendous there. He took a ton of excessive risks, but he was absolutely tremendous. He put up a DRtg of 101 in his 9 games he started last year, for example. He works really hard, and productively, on defense, sometimes at the cost of his shot.

Really? 3/30 for him would be a terrible deal imo.
