Long-time lurker, but I wanted my first post to be a massive "LET'S GO" for the Jays. So hyped for them to show us what they're made of.

Basketball is a lot more than numbers, but the positive regression coming from increased usage, minutes, and even the smallest improvements is very encouraging (I like math lol). There are a lot of scenarios out there in which we see a big-time performance out of each without their ever really needing to alter their percentages drastically.

No more Kobe 2's though thanks guys.

Apparently, Danny has confidence in our own young players. I was kind of hoping for a Garnett repeat scenario; but the J’s are better than Big Al and Gerald Green!

The weight of the world is now on the shoulders of Brown and Tatum. Those all-star appearances need to start next year.

Who else can't wait to see Tatum dunk in AD's face next season?

They can both be All Stars. Hopefully soon. Kind of like Pierce/Walker part deux (not comparing personalities or playing styles, just overall league impact), which is both good and bad.

No idea how this will affect Brown. He knows it was Tatum that held up the deal and Danny was more than willing to ship him to NO. Could be some bitterness.

Nothing to be bitter about when Pels went right past you anyways, they obviously felt you weren't all that. Go prove yourself now, at least Celtics believe in you. Don't see Kawai here.

Can't wait to see Tatum launch 21 21-footers a game next year while avoiding contact at the rim. Yay!!!!!
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

It wouldn't be Brown or our "young core" if the weren't bitter about something...veteran players, trade rumors, etc.

Need to be all-stars next year. They wanted all the shots and playing time for themselves. Now they have it. Put up or shut up time.

Brown earned my respect when he went to the bench and played well second half of last season (and in the playoffs)... I'm not going to worry about him being bitter.

I’ve never seen a more overrated young duo. It’s much more likely that neither of them are all stars than both of them. Should be fun to watch their value drop once again after missing out on moving them for a top 5 player

Right having personal opinion but sometimes is a good thing to mix up those with other people opinion. Listen Lowe podcast helps. He said multiple times that around the league Tatum value is higher than brown but its closer then people think. Some GM prefer Jaylen. So, we have two really good young guys. POP is very high on jaylen. He likes him alot, Jackie said this several times

I expect Hayward to be the team's best player next year. With JT and JB sharing the offensive load with him. More defensive/utilitarian vets at the 1 and 5. What I have hoped for since Kyrie's playoffs dumpster fire.

Please don't mention Pop liking Brown. Last time we heard that, we were passing on another one of the Top 5 players in the game.

Agreed--I think JB really grew on the inside last season. He ultimately handled it well. (Though it was a well-deserved benching.) Hard for the young guys to object to the off-season so far.

Toronto got kawhi for Derozan and nothing. Basically nothing. So not many teams were trying to get Leonard. Too many clouds on him at that time.

We'll see if the young guys object come next January. No more hiding behind the vets they ran off. Any failures with the team next year will be on them. We need all-star appearances and contention.

I hope we trade Brow for a good player, there’s no space here in Boston for him.
