Thanks for the acknowledgement. Reading some of the comments on here, I agree that the team has been underrated. People forget that this has been a 50+ win team for a few years even before Kawhi. And that we rested him for a third of it and still had a strong season. Raptors also have a ton of cap space after this coming season. So the "long-term" outlook isnt bad.

It's a two-horse race between Clippers and Raptors. If Kawhi chooses you guys, it was simply about being home.

Your team played very well. They have in the past as you noted as well. I do not think you guys will have a dynasty just based on the age of Lowry, Gasol, Green and Ibaka but even winning one ring is a huge accomplishment. Most my teams have not won in my lifetime. You guys should feel on top of the world not have to worry about whats next so soon. I do think Siakam is a very legit player. Not a top 10 player as one poster suggested but a possible all star. I respect how your team was built and played together.

Kawhi going to LA is simply for LA, every other reason is Toronto. Money, organizational trust, medical trust, he has already won there, Siakam is a legitimate star (not being top 10 is not some insult).

Anyone who thinks LAC are a better team than Toronto without Kawhi is living in fantasy land.

Pelicans have no reason to wait and they need the pick in hand as soon as possible for other potential deals. The Lakers have amateurs in the front office so that's why they're at the mercy of the Pelicans. Lakers got fleeced

This is the link. Honestly, I was under the impression that Kawhi can totally book it to the Lakers and nobody would give him ****. You can't call him a ring chaser like KD, because he's won in the hardest way. Also, he literally limps and needs a lot more support around him due to his health, which was not a concern of KD's when he made a super team go nuclear. I understand the max free agency cap situation (or at least think I do because it's kinda convoluted) but even then, if Kawhi wanted to come to the Lakers there would be a way to make it happen. There's more than one way to skin a cat and if Lakers really had mutual interest in Kawhi, they would give up Kuz in a heart beat. I think they held onto Kuz for leverage in another deal should it present itself.

You're right, this definitely makes it harder for the Lakers to add that 3rd max player. BUT, if I've learned anything from Goku growing up... when there's a will there's a way. If mutual interest exists, a deal can be made in some other capacity to create the necessary cap room. Also, I'm more than confident AD will waive his trade kicker. Stars don't always need the full max. KD signed for slightly under the max to make his ring chasing dreams come true.

Also, think that the Pelicans and not the Lakers got fleeced.

I think you're mixing up 2 different posts, the one that's 7 months old is kawhi's sister liking a photoshopped lakers image of kawhi, AD and LeBron.

This one supposedly happened last night but I think the cousin is just saying it without any sources. The real rumours are lakers trying to add Kemba which makes a lot more sense.
