Bol Bol has the same frame as Kevin Durant. He even played at a higher weight then Kevin in college (was 235 and Kevin was like 195 if I rmb). The fact he’s like 205 now doesn’t scare me. If you watch his game he’s clearly modeled it off Durant.

Little is probably the best athlete in this year's class after Zion, he's really smart, and he has a workable jumper. But he doesn't know how to play organized, team basketball. I think some other team can help him get there, but I'd be shocked if the Hornets could pull it off.

Pretty sure Clarke is the best athlete after Zion.

and can we not ride off HoF player comparisons? realistically, Bol Bol is a mentally tougher skal labissiere type of prospect - and that kid is 3 years away while the Kings definitely have zero problems drafting at his position year after year as well

They look like exactly the same player in college and I am sure he will have the same struggles Miles has had in the NBA, and they are both hella tweeners. I understand ignoring positional needs if PJ was the best player available, but in this draft, there are so many other options at 12.

There is some overlap, but I really like PJ because he's definitely a two way player - having clear NBA roles on both sides of the court. Bridges can play the 3 or 4, while PJ can play the 4 or 5. Miles is the better passer, but PJ is bigger with a huge wingspan. I feel like PJ will actually have an easier defensive transition than Bridges did.

I feel like the Hornets have drafted a ton of guys who can be good on one side of the floor, like Monk, and gotten burned. I would much rather they draft guys who can stay on the court instead of being unplayable on D (Monk) or O (Biz).

I view Miles as a potential Nic replacement down the road, while PJ could be the Marv replacement - except that PJ is probably going to be better at being a small ball center.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Bol Bol is going to really burn the team that drafts him.

Everyone wants the unicorn so they focus on his best case upside - but between injuries and the talk about him being a bit lazy it seems to me that he is very unlikely to ever reach that potential.

He is not going to be ability to guard anyone he is never going to be able to put on weight and his lateral quickness is very questionable. I’m not a fan

PJ is a natural 4 and Bridges can be a 3 or 4. They can play together. I like the Millsap comparison, and getting a player like Millsap at 12 is about the best we can hope for with our **** draft history.

PJ has a wingspan as good as Kawai or Giannis, and has a natural 3 point shot and shot it well this season at Kentucky...if he was two inches taller, he'd easily be the 3rd pick of the draft

I'd be happy with any of NAW, Washington, Langford, Johnson, Hachimura, or Hayes at 12. I don't want Clarke or Bol Bol. I'm iffy on Little because of our awful record of player development, but he has the highest ceiling of anyone in that group.

Some Twitter types have me soured on Rui.

I never seriously considered Washington, but I'm starting to get on board. Can't have too many athletic, switchy big wings.

First Clarke is a young Dennis Rodman and now Bol Bol has shades of Durant

I can see what he means when he does those comparisons. Chances of that happening are like us winning an NBA title. But I see it

I am a true HORNETS fan. I don't even know which teams have the 1st or 2nd or 3rd picks in this years draft. Only thing I know is the LAKERS had the 4th because they talk about it everyday haha.

Anyways I have updated who I would take. I truly wish Zagars was still in the draft because I would have taken him with #36.

My draft has been slightly updated.

#12- NAW, (if NAW is taken then Samanic, unless Culver were to fall.)

#36- Darius Bazley (I doubt he last this long.) If he is gone my second option @ #36 is between Tyler Cook and kevin porter.

#51- Tyler Cook (if Bazley is gone @ #36.) Joshua Obeisie, Jordan Poole, Isaiah Roby, Jalen McDaniels, Deividas Sirvydis

There are a lot of players I would consider of course for #51 but those are the top 5 if they were still there @ #51.

I have included Jordan Poole in there (who I doubt will still be there). I think Poole could be a good role player. I like B J Taylor a lot but he has had a couple injuries. He is healthy now tho so I would still like him to come to camp.

I always enjoy reading the updates and honestly prefer when you keep your list shorter.

For me, I’m favoring the following:
#12: NAW (if off the board, PJ Washington is my next)
#36: Chuma Okeke (if off the board, CAm Johnson, THT and Gafford are others I’m considering)
#51: THT (Ive seen him projected this low. IF so a nice pick up...though he’s projected anywhere from late first to late second...he’s one of the harder to peg his place)

Thanks for the love, actually my post are generally shorter than most unless they include my "depth chart" which I post to allow others to see players they might not see mentioned here. Other than the "depth chart" they're often short

As a prospect, Bol Bol kind of reminds me of Porzingis, but with less strength/athleticism and a better handle.

Just for fun and laughs, but If I were fortunate enough to get my DREAM job as GM *fingers crossed* this is what my current roster would look like if the draft setup how I wanted it.

NAW - BJ Taylor (summer league pickup)
Zhairre - Lamb
Bazley - Bacon - Theo Pinson (trade Monk for him)
YuTa Watanabe - Frank
Cook - Biz

I would try and just let all the others contracts expire.

MK looking to trade up and the Pelicants are reportedly looking to move the 4th pick. It’d be nice to move up to get Darius Garland or Coby White.
