Yeah, we've already got their 2021 2nd for the deal that got us Pacers legend's Wade Baldwin and Nik Stauskas at the deadline.

Realistically, they're probably looking at either giving up their 30th overall 1st rounder this year for someone to take on Snell completely, and maybe trade down into the 2nd from there for someone to take on Illy, if that's all they can muster. I think they'd prefer Snell.

Yeah the Snell contract has really gummed up their books. I get the idea behind it generally, but he just has not lived up to it at all. I'm skeptical 30 will be enough, but I've been wrong numerous times before. Obviously I don't see us having any interest in him.

Personally I'd want two 2nds to take on Ilyasova. I'm not sold that we would have any real use for him and could get a comparable player cheaper in free agency. I can only imagine how bad defensively a frontcourt bench of Doug/Ily/Domas would be.

Yeah. If Illy amended his deal to forgo his player option on that last season, I could see a team eating both Illy/Snell to get the 30. It's that 2nd year that just kills it, methinks.

As for Illy, he's definitely not a great player overall. I just like bench players to either be in the process of developing into starters (like a Holiday or Dom, or maybe even potentially an Alize or Sumner) or to simply have something that they're good at. Doug is a shooter, Illy shoots the 3 around 34-36% at decently high clip and rebounds. It's something.

DC has been much more than a low end starter for us this time around but at his age he could be a low end starter later in his next contract. I'd say he's worth about what CoJo and Doug have been getting. maybe more if it is a one year deal.

You're in luck as I'm nearly positive his last year is non-guaranteed.

they have the 30 this year which is talent wise a top 2nd although contract wise it's the bottom first.

I like DC, but he's definitely in the lower tier of starting guards. On most teams he would have been a backup. I'm fine with giving him a bigger 1 year deal while Holiday develops either way.

I'm sorry. Meant Snell. Illy's is non-guaranteed, which is what gives him more value. Snell's is a player option.

I don't know that it would necessarily have to be a big deal for 1 year. He's likely at the point in his career where he's looking at maybe 3/15, but maybe only a partial guarantee on the 3rd year.

Even if we operate under the cap I'd give him 3/15 fully guaranteed if don't get a different PG. I think his market is limited and would be shocked if he got even MLE offers given his age, but I'd be more than comfortable at $5 mil a year even if he's basically a 3rd stringer in year 3. I think he gets more than that, though maybe not over 3 years.

not a "big deal." just a "bigger deal." 3/15 sounds reasonable but maybe 1 year at 7 to 10 with a team option for more.

Yeah. If we couldn't get a Beverley at around $12m per or less, or a DAR, even at the max, I'd probably circle around pretty quickly to a Collison on a 2 or 3 year deal for lesser money.
