I remembered when the Lakers traded Andrew Bynum and future draft picks for Dwight Howard and well it didn't turn out good at all for the Lakers.The Lakers have been trash ever since and history is already repeating itself 7 years later. The Lakers traded future draft picks and potential all star in Brandon Ingram and a a great passer/good defender in Lonzo Ball for Anthony Davis. If Kyrie Irving does indeed go to the Brooklyn Nets,this would actually make the Brooklyn Nets,LA Clippers,and maybe the New York Knicks would be the Favorites.Even if the New York Knicks don't get Kyrie Irving or Kevin Durant,that would make the Clippers and the Nets the favorites to trade for Anthony Davis with the Raptors not being too far behind.Plus the Lakers have terrible trade packages that no team would want.

If the Knicks don't get Kevin Durant or other star free Agents,most likely Anthony Davis will be traded ether to the Brooklyn Nets(depending if they sign Kyrie Irving), or the Clippers. The Nets, and the Clippers have way better trade packages for the New Orleans Pelicans than the Lakers. No matter what happens regarding Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, the Lakers are out of contention far as getting Anthony Davis(or other star free agents) is concerned.

The lengths people will go to to find a negative in this trade is hilarious. New Orleans got quite the haul, and good for them. But with Durant and Klay going down, the best window for a championship was for NEXT season, not 5 years down the track. COULD Lonzo and Ingram turn into world-beaters? Sure. But not by next year. When you have Lebron and the team to beat is weakened, albeit through unfortunate circumstances, you go for it NOW. A bird in the hand is worth 3 in the bush...

I have been hearing conversations far as the Lakers trading for Anthony Davis,even more so since last night.Lets be real here,the Lakers are not in the running for Anthony Davis or any other star player for that matter. First and foremost this team is dysfunctional, even more compared to the 2015/2016 Sacramento Kings,so that already rules them out far as any free agents are concerned.Second, the Lakers have no real trading packs that any team would want.Third,who truly wants to play for a trash team like the Lakers.I don't even see how even above role players would want to join the Lakers,let alone a star player. It seem the people who saying that Lakers have a chance of getting a star player, are probably Lakers fans or Lebron James fans.

It's a terrible idea for the Lakers to wait until the 2019 free Agency.They should have traded for Kawhi Leonard and negotiated better when it came to Paul George.The Lakers could have gotten 3 star player, and become a Championship contender for many years to come if the Lakers were willing to trade Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball.

He was maybe 60% of his true self.
ADs injury was not even that bad compared to Dwight and AD IMO hasnt even hit his Peak. Dwight hit his peak 1 year before his injury.
