Anthony Davis 2018-2019 stats:

26 PPG / 12 RPG / 4 APG / 1.6 SPG / 2.4 BPG on 51.7%/31.4%/79.4% shooting with elite defense at age 25.

This isn't even close. Davis is arguably the best player in the world.

I expect the Lakers to not make the playoffs, and I also expect Anthony Davis to leave the Lakers after next season, and the Lakers will be trash again afterwards. This looks to be a repeat of the Dwight Howard trade. The only difference is the Lakers will have no picks for 3 years straight and Anthony Davis will actually remain as a top 10 player in the NBA unlike Dwight Howard.

Your reply to the "Lakers are now the heavy favourites for AD?" Thread makes you look even more of a Hater. First you say the lakers have a terrible package that no team would want. Now all of a sudden Brandon Ingram is an Allstar and Lonzo is a great passer/good defender?

You just got Exposed.

facothomas22 wrote:Not even close. If Kyrie Irving does indeed go to the Brooklyn Nets, this would actually make the Brooklyn Nets,LA Clippers, and maybe the New York Knicks would be the Favorites.Even if the New York Knicks don't get Kyrie Irving or Kevin Durant, that would make the Clippers and the Nets the favorites to trade for Anthony Davis with the Raptors not being too far behind.Plus the Lakers have terrible trade packages that no team would want.

If the Knicks don't get Kevin Durant or other star free Agents, most likely Anthony Davis will be traded ether to the Brooklyn Nets(depending if they sign Kyrie Irving), or the Clippers. The Nets, and the Clippers have way better trade packages for the New Orleans Pelicans than the Lakers. No matter what happens regarding Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, the Lakers are out of contention far as getting Anthony Davis(or other star free agents) is concerned.

This is as remote from a whatever 2.0 as you can get.

Dwight didn't want to give it 100% either - He clashed with Kobe over work ethics vs his lack of any, He was coming off a back injury and wanted to run the show - wanted Kobe to retire. This is not even close to Howard 2.0 -

The lengths people will go to to find a negative in this trade is hilarious. New Orleans got quite the haul, and good for them. But with Durant and Klay going down, the best window for a championship was for NEXT season, not 5 years down the track. COULD Lonzo and Ingram turn into world-beaters? Sure. But not by next year. When you have Lebron and the team to beat is weakened, albeit through unfortunate circumstances, you go for it NOW. A bird in the hand is worth 3 in the bush...

Man, your hate for the Lakers runs deep doesn't it? What they ever do to you, honestly? Did you lose your home in a bet against the Lakers? Your girl? Your wheels? did they take your one and only shot a title in 2001? I've seen my share of Lakers haters around here, but you really take the cake.A quick reminder... Andrew (Damaged Goods) Bynum was traded to your team, how'd that'd worked for ya'll, maybe that's why you hate the Lakers?

Check his receipts, he's nothing but a Lakers hater. He's trying to make himself feel good by trying to diminish the trade. Blind full hate makes people see things that aren't there.

facothomas22 wrote:I have been hearing conversations far as the Lakers trading for Anthony Davis, even more so since last night.Lets be real here, the Lakers are not in the running for Anthony Davis or any other star player for that matter. First and foremost this team is dysfunctional, even more compared to the 2015/2016 Sacramento Kings,so that already rules them out far as any free agents are concerned.Second, the Lakers have no real trading packs that any team would want.Third, who truly wants to play for a trash team like the Lakers.I don't even see how even above role players would want to join the Lakers, let alone a star player. It seem the people who saying that Lakers have a chance of getting a star player, are probably Lakers fans or Lebron James fans.

facothomas22 wrote:It's a terrible idea for the Lakers to wait until the 2019 free Agency. They should have traded for Kawhi Leonard and negotiated better when it came to Paul George. The Lakers could have gotten 3 star player, and become a Championship contender for many years to come if the Lakers were willing to trade Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball.

You cant compare the two.
Dwight never came back to his true form.
We are talking about a guy who Took a team to the Finals with Prime LeBron, Prime Kobe, Prime Dirk, Prime Dwade, The Atlanta Hawks who made the Playoffs a trillion years in a row and The Celtics Big 3 with Rondo all in the league

He was maybe 60% of his true self.
ADs injury was not even that bad compared to Dwight and AD IMO hasnt even hit his Peak. Dwight hit his peak 1 year before his injury.
