Can Orlando win a title next season?

Post#1 » by drsd » Mon Jun 17, 2019 9:59 pm

Lot's of debate going on and lots of scepticism overplayed with Homerism.

So: what is the probability Orlando wins it al? Poll before we see the draft and FA outcomes.

There is always a chance if Isaac/Bamba improve the expected and Fultz becomes a 25/5/5 player, is it likely? Hell no.

Missing the playoffs is far more likely than winning the title.

Think of the teams we have had lead us to the finals only to still be crushed. How does this roster compare to the talent on those?

(Very) Stupid question.

Bamba hits Clint Capela impact already, with a 3 pt shot.

Isaac hits Siakam-type territory.

16th pick ends up being a top 2-3 player in whole draft. Or we traded up to #4-#8 for said top 2-3 player.

D.J., Vooch, and Ross all come back and repeat last season's fantastic performance. Fournier has a bit of a comeback season.

AG becomes a 20, 7, and 5, defensive stopper, nightmare monster.

Yep.. chances of all this coming together, I voted "less than 1 percent".. lol
I'd be ecstatic if just B.I.G. improve though.

A championship is not needed for a successful season. Never a stupid question, but it may not be the right one. And yes, there is alway6s a chance.

Sure... a division title.

Free agency is coming very soon... even if it's a silly question, probably should have waited 2 weeks to find out what the roster looks like before doing a poll like this. We might have to change from playoffs expectations to lottery expectations.

<1%. You always hope and believe, but it's quite possible that the East will finally be a better conference next season than the West. The East had better playoff teams. A lot depends on Kawhi, KD, and Kyrie and if they stay/go East.

We can definitely be in the mix for a possible 4th seed, but we just don't have enough weapons yet. Either they haven't developed enough, or we haven't acquired those 1 or 2 big pieces.

Anything can happen next year. Should be a VERY entertaining year, despite the loss of two of two top-ten allstars. Or because of it.

Sure
Find trade partners for Moz and Evan without taking back salary, bring back Ross and convince kawhi to sign here, then we have a shot

Outside of that... Probably not
