I like Bol Bol so he doesn't concern me at all. I believe we can develop him nicely. I don't expect him to be aggressive on defense due to lack of muscle, but he can be effective at shot blocking, and the key is his offense.

But these are the reasons he doesn't fit here, no?

For having seen Gobert playing before NBA, I was really finding him too much slow and without enough muscles to compete as high as he can now. So with passion and will, the guy can work on it
Now, I'm not set on picking him, not in the top10. 17 if kept would be OK
Going high-ceiling in top10, I prefer Sekou for sure

I've been one of the advocates for Bol around here, but it raises a yellow flag for me that he's not visited ATL, at least to our knowledge. Given that the word on the street has been he has a bit of a prima donna attitude, I'm certain Pierce would want to have some time to assess that before he'd give Schlenk a thumbs-up to leave him on the draft board. Not giving up on him, but just sayin I'm among those not especially optimistic that he'll be a Hawk.

I don’t know how many times I can say this, but there was zero interest in Bol. None. One of the executives came up to me a few weeks before the draft and asked me why several outlets were projecting the Hawks to draft him, and he made it very clear during that talk how the front office felt about being linked to Bol. Schlenk was at Bol’s pro day workout, but there was never interest in him. Those agency workouts are a good place for GMs to be around other GMs and scouts and get more info about other players.
