Last Givony mock
24. Philadelphia 76ers
Eric Paschall
Villanova
Age: 22.6
F
Height: 6-foot-7 | Weight: 254
The Sixers are flush with creators and scoring at every position, and they will need to be creative in adding young, cheap players to their somewhat shallow rotation, considering their luxury-tax situation if Jimmy Butler and Tobias Harris return in free agency.
Paschall is one of the more ready prospects to contribute in this draft class, turning 23 in November, with a chiseled physique and an impressive national championship pedigree. Paschall's athleticism, toughness, perimeter shooting ability and defensive versatility will fit right in with the Sixers, as they've expressed interest in adding older players who bring exactly these qualities.
33. 76ers
Chuma Okeke | SF/PF | Age: 20.8 | Auburn
34. 76ers
Carsen Edwards | PG | Age: 21.2 | Purdue
42. 76ers
Naz Reid | PF/C | Age: 19.8 | LSU
54. 76ers
Joshua Obiesie | PG/SG | Age: 19.0 | Wuerzburg

In his last mock, ESPN put Bazely at 29 and this is what Givony wrote:
Bazley has had a terrific pre-draft process in which he has demonstrated an improved frame, a more consistent shooting stroke and a more polished and refined skill set than you would expect considering his age and the fact that he sat out the season. Bazley's potential as a multiposition defender who can handle the ball in spurts and make an open shot is intriguing considering his size.

Second visit? That's encouraging.

I’m intrigued by Bazley, but that pick would be completely against everything the team has said...and probably logic. Is he ready to contribute at all next year?

Would probably be for 33 or 34. Doubt he's the pick at 24.

Maybe I just can't find it, but I think this is his first workout in Philly. The Sixers were present at the Klutch workout his was at though, so it is the second time seeing him.
Other guys we have seen twice (agency and Philly):
-PG Ky Bowman
-PF Zylan Cheatham
-SG Terence Davis
-SG Zach Norvell
-PF Grant Williams
-SF Ignas Brazdeikis
-PF Luka Samanic
-PF Darius Bazley
Although it should be noted that Bowman and Cheatham were in Philly and then at the agency workout, as opposed to the rest who were agency workouts and then coming to Philly. I tend to take the latter a bit more seriously.

Re: 2019 NBA Draft
Does there end up being much correlation between workouts and drafting? Seems like there's usually a lot of smokescreen type of stuff and then we hear about guys having secret workouts after the fact.

Last year the 76ers drafted (traded for) all guys they worked out in Camden 2x. The 76ers hadn't been a team under Hinkie or Colangelo that worked out 1st round picks before making decisions.
The only guys I've heard that were brought in to Camden 2x this year were Bazley and Brantley. There may have been more that I missed though.

Re: 2019 NBA Draft
Bazley is a bit Kuzma-ish without the insane touch/finishing tricks and more of a passing game, maybe better on D in time, he is fine in that range I feel like

I’m thinking it’s Terence Davis at 24, unless we trade up.

24? Not 42? I think he can be had with either early 2nd rounders.

Re: 2019 NBA Draft
There's little consistency in the mock drafts. Enough shifting that you could make a top 20 and be almost guaranteed to get one of them at 24, and a very good chance of getting one of your top 15.

24. He's been destroying the pre-draft workouts and had an excellent year with a successful team. I'll be surprised if he goes in the second.
Also, reminder that Landry Shamet was not projected to be a first rounder last year.

Fair enough. I think most of the post lottery guys are in the same talent tier anyway. There's no telling who's gonna go between 20-40, it all comes down to team preference.

I just think the increased cap hold/charge for a significantly higher pick means there is almost no chance we are trading up. If anything they might want to trade out of the 1st round for a future pick to avoid the cap charge and have more money to spend in the onset of FA.

My preference is to do something like a reverse of the horrible Pasecniks trade. Something like 24 and 42 to the Suns for 32 and that future Milwaukee protected pick.

the plan is to get as good as quickly as possible....I fully believe we could have been a borderline playoff team last year by adding young veterans....using or draft picks and cap space.....can I specifically tell you who? no.

I guess, though I don't imagine they'd be moving up enough for the change in cap hit to be that big of a factor, and I think plan A is to bring everyone back anyway.

That would be ideal (if they aren't enamored with anyone that unexpectedly drops). Plus picking 32, 33, 34 would be fun.
