So if this Gambo tweet is correct - many of the trades that GhostK mentioned yesterday - which were basically more for cap space - is correct.

If the Knicks strike out - maybe they do take Josh for Lance Thomas

Gambo says July 6th..... Does that mean that is when the team officially can announce it???

We essentially would know before then, even as soon as Thursdays draft right?

I took it to mean future pick -- so not even this draft. If Gambo is correct - these sound like pure salary dumps. Which means they better have some players lined up to sign.

Yeah sounds like future picks. Jackson for a future pick is something I can get behind.

I can get behind Josh for a future pick - straight salary dump. I get that one. Warren - I think has value so I will be interested to see what the 10.5m is spent on. With 17.5m of cap space - the Suns could get a PG and PF - Rubio and Aminu, Collison/Thad Young.

doesnt he just mean that it will finalized on the 6th but can still trade them for a pick this thursday. just wouldnt be official till the 6th. similar to the NO having the lakers pick.

We often act as if you should only trade a player that is bad. I am fine with trading good players, as long as we are getting a better player in return. Folks keep saying we should or shouldn't trade X player, without even saying what's on the other end of the trade.

Listening to Gambo on Doug and Wolf really has me hoping he’s being fed bull or just guessing. A lot of stupid stuff from him today.

I remember one trade that broke my heart Micheal Finley (my favorite player on the Suns at the time), AC Green and the Alien for Jason Kidd. I always wished that we would bring Finley back but never did.

Doug and Wolf had Jordan Schultz on yesterday - when I thought about listening I turned it off

there was a promo for Doug and Wolf and it said "will the Suns get their PG of the future this week, we will discuss

Than Gambo is really drawn to White and Garland

its all PG centric - like the suns HAVE to draft PG. too much is about the Point Guard

I think Gambo is being fed nonsense. Even the thing about Warren and Josh - that was easy to figure out they are on the trade block. It makes sense. Until he comes with REAL news - I will listen but also put him in the Schultz Kyler category too.

I believe Tyler Johnson opts out so the suns have some money to spend and then both he and oubre wait until we sign free agents and then they resign with suns for long term deals. I believe these agreements already took place for Johnson probably before suns traded for him and oubre probably towards the end of the season.

I'm kind of surprised so many people on twitter and here seem to think he really knows something. I am almost 100% certain the FO doesn't give him anything.

I’m not buying the Kyrie to Brooklyn as a done deal. Frankly, I’d prefer an up+coming DLo to headache/case Irving.

He’s just saying the right things. It comes down to if the Nets are willing to keep him or if they are able to catch bigger fish.
On the other side of the coin... How often do you get to play with one of your best friends while in your prime. It’s like a childhood fantasy that Booker and Russell can make happen. Take a page out of Lebron/Wade handbook and join up when you have the chance. You might not get that opportunity until way later in their careers.

I agree. If he is fed anything at this point, its smoke screen type stuff. He mostly just states his opinion. Hes just stating the obvious. Most generic casual suns fans are of the mind "DRAFT A PG! WE NEED A PG!" That is all I see on the suns IG comments. Gambo is of the same mind. Just states his opinion, and knows suns need a PG. I don't trust his"sources" much anymore. He's been wrong many many times.

Get that logic out of here ;)

Warren gets talked about being traded because he has value. Sure he's good, but we can't go out with 4 sf again and pretend they fill roles. Warren is just about our only expendable asset with positive enough value to get something back we'd want/need. It's funny how everyone laughs at the idea of trading him, or that we have for so long, but we're bad for a reason; we have little value when it comes to our players. We have a core we won't trade, and the others just can't bring us anything so we don't talk about trading them.

Ainge tells him stuff to float out there - at least thats my theory

Reading twitter and the Twolves want to move up - Kellan Olson liked the idea of Teague and 11 for Tyler and 6

Not sure I like that idea actually.

Im not sure how the next couple weeks will go but the safest prediction is 75% of suns fans will come out of this upset on how it turns out.

This draft is so eye of the beholder that you could ask 5 fans/media who they like best and get 5 different answers so the math of that means the majority will not like the pick regardless of who it is.

Then you have a decent percentage of suns fans and some media with little to no understanding of how the CBA works and what's actually possible in FA so they will end up mad the suns didn't sign 'player x' even if there was no real possibility of that happening.

Then you have a portion of the fan base that's so beaten down by these past few years that their default reaction to any suns move is to hate it and think it's dumb.
