I think you’re underrating Ball and probably Garland - I’m guessing his workouts confirm his run at Vanderbilt and that he has star lead guard potential..
Theyre not trading Lonzo
They’ve had him for a day and a half, he was constantly linked to other teams in three-way trade scenarios..
If they were trading Lonzo, they’d be keeping the #4 pick to draft Garland.

Re: 2019 NBA draft
IMO Edwards is the better defender. I don't really care about defense with these two players. I'm picking them for offense. That's why I want Edwards at 22, better value. I don't want to give the impression that I dont like Herro. I want a deadly shooter in this draft. I like both players.bucknersrevenge wrote:Wes-J wrote:m haynes wrote: Let me ask what do you see from Herro compared to Edwards. Keeping in mind pick 14 compared to 22.
I'm am all for offensive shooters in this draft.
Understand Edwards has to prove he's a PG, a guy that can lead a team, initiate offense. Herro OTOH has good size for his position albeit short wingspan and can create better IMO. Both elite scorers but on pure shooting I'll give Herro the nod.
Basically I feel like Edwards has the bigger adjustment to make.
Because we all know who Brad Stevens is, who do you think has the bigger adjustment to make defensively for what we do on defense? Edwards or Herro?

Are we sure there’s not an old indigenous burial ground under the Celtics’ facilities? Did Larry Bird spit on a Romani woman in mid-1986? The luck this team has sometimes, even when it does everything perfectly..

The Pelicans are considering 4 for 8 and 10, so that’s what we have to beat.. Seems like Atlanta likes Culver and thinks they can get a center at 17..

I say forget 4 and do 20 & 22 for 15 or higher. Grab one of PJ/Clarke/Goga and then Claxton in front of ATL.

My 2 reasons for the C's "Bad" Luck:
First: Doc Rivers hangs a STUPID Blank Banner in the Practice Facility, after the 2008 Championship season...pretty much inviting disaster.
Second: After winning their first title in 22 years---they fire their mascot named "Lucky"---12 days later KG hurt his knee.

I asked this question because I think that we have enough evidence of who Stevens is to understand that he will not sacrifice defense for shooting so...

Re: 2019 NBA draft
This literally means nothing. I mean nothing. And I feel like the Pels aren't trading Holiday, they are looking to compete for the playoffs the first year Zion is there, although as currently constructed they have decent 3 point shooter in their starting lineup and that's Holiday. Ball can't shoot, Ingram can't shoot, Zion can't shoot.
Good assessment:
PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.

Why bother doing that when there's a good chance 2 of those 3 will be available at 20 and 22. It's this way every year. Who thought that Robert Williams would be there for us at 27??

For Claxton, really. Rumor is ATL promised him at 17.

There aren’t always sliders in every draft, this year looks especially unpredictable..

Culver has a chance to be really good. Memphis should keep the pick and take him with the 4th pick.

I’m just hoping we keep all the picks and come away with at least Carsen Edwards at 20 or 22.

I do think he was in pretty early on Kyrie bouncing for a team in NY.

And if Garland blossoms, would you have any faith that the Celtics could re-sign him with Paul manipulating the situation? I don't even want Morris back because he's represented by Paul. And it will be a heavy cost to acquire Garland. Just go with Rozier for now and rehabilitate his trade value.
So now we're just not going after players with certain agents? That seems like a slippery slope.

Agreed. Esp draft picks. You have them for 7-8 years no matter what their agent tries to pull.
