Rebounding, effort, defense. I want him as well.

I still consider him a bust. He doesn’t bring much offensively and you need that in today’s game. There’s guys his size that can play defense and score a little bit.

Depends how you define bust, I guess. The guy's had a 9 year career. Not a star by any means, so sure. But, he's a good bench guy to me. There's still a role for the garbageman in today's game.

Wow, Barnes declines his $25.1M option. Didn't see that one coming. Must not care for SAC or has delusions of grandeur.

Well, the Knicks do have a lot cap space...

We'll see if the Knicks have learned anything, or care to, and what their new FO is like. Everything suggests they end up giving big deals to Barnes and Randle.

If only his contract wasn’t so horrific. We know Ainge values him.

Might be the only time I'd ask for 2 picks back if we traded Hayward.

If the Rockets are ready to ship out a few picks with his contract, it might be doable.

Jokes aside last year of Paul's deal is from what I remember between 42-44 mils, somewhere in that area and the guy will be 37-38 years old... Horrid contract. If Paul was at least a bit healthier it would've been possible to trade him, but when you factor in his salary, decline and injury history, that contract could be the worst in the NBA.

I'd deal Hayward for him. See if you can do Hayward and a S&T Rozier for CP3 and Capela. Win win. At least you go to war with a real PG unlike Mr. "Elite" Scary Terry.

We may be interested in Love, but...30 million per year, plus we would have to trade Smart to even come close to that number.

Hayward for Love would work, but we know Danny will not trade Hayward.

Love's contract is probably as bad as Paul's, if not worse, cause it's 5 years at over 30 mils a year, he will be 37 or 38 by the time it expires. He's just as fragile as Paul. I'd just keep Hayward who's 3 years younger.

Different stories coming out of Houston - that it's all solvable - it's not September, it's June -

Look for CP3 to find his way into LA somehow. That's a lot of money to give up for a chance at a ring though.

Chris Paul and Harden aren't getting along? Wow. I'm shocked......jk.

And for those who actually want this guy on our team - CP3 was despised by Blake and DJ. Add Harden to the list. How do you think that man with the Napoleon complex is going to treat Tatum and Brown? Hint: he won't be nice to them.

Bless you, that would perfect. But at his current contract, not a penny less. I want them to pay. :)
ETA: Probably not remotely possible this summer.

If he wants onto a different team he's going to have to accept getting bought out for very very little of the money on his current deal - say, Atlanta gets a bunch of picks, he waives his option year and takes 10 million in 19-20 and 20-21 from Atlanta to be a free agent, signs somewhere else..

Wonder if it's a Horford situation? Opt out to resign longer, restructure, etc.
