Once the Lakers sign some role players in FA they won't have enough salaries to match to get Paul

Why not a deal centered around Harden for Lebron?

With GSW down for the coming year, maybe Rockets roll the dice that Paul and Lebron stay healthy and can carry the team to a title. Although it may make the Lakers better than them, since if no other players are involved, it gives LA 5 million more in cap space.

Not one, sad reality of a Rockets fan today is that their franchise has just imploded. The Lakers are really the only team that could want him and paired with LeBron and AD it might work out?

Detroit maybe,
Reggie Jackson, Leuer, Glen Robinson and maybe like Bruce Brown

Blake is going to go down hill soon,
So may as well make lob city 2.0 and be entertaining whilst accumulating young players...

harden, as a rocket, has never sniffed a championship. can't get a run if you're not close to one. he's never even been to the finals, as a rocket, to have a CHANCE of getting a championship

Apart from other considerations, the relationship between Paul and Blake was strained...

Rockets get Kyle Lowry and OG Anounoby.

Raptors get Chris Paul.

Hard to imagine Toronto make a big shakeup after wining in all but I like it for both teams.

Deal also works if you add Serge Ibaka and Eric Gordon but I prefer the original.

Yeah that’s the only barrier...
But they are the only team I see biting...
A team that’s trying to compete, with bad contracted good players without their PG position filled

Like Maybe Minny bites at the chance to offload wiggins and Dieng?
Maybe the suns do to get ‘that PG’

But Detroit is most likely,
or Houston just goes
‘Y’all are contracted here, your obligation is to play basketball, and your aim is to win a championship, you don’t need to get along’

Trades away a Toronto hero,
That is one of the team leaders and integral part to the culture,
That has been pretty healthy, unselfish,
Who fits with the team and play style

For
A aging has been,
That is not guarantied and by all evidence, possibly negative to many categories.

Oh and you want a great young 3&D wing...
So basically leaving the raptors to eat that Chris Paul contract next year if Kawhi leaves with less young assets...

Toronto ain’t doing that man, not even in the Rockets Dreams

Most of the deals I see on the net treat Paul as a positive contract (somewhat). I don't get that.

For example, I've seen Suns examples where they send Johnson, Jackson and Warren. I could kinda see something like that, though I'm not a fan for either team. But in these hypotheticals, the Sun's also add a high first round pick (eg. 2019 #6 overall). I just don't see anyone doing that.

Minny, with some sort of Wiggins dump seems the best of an unlikely bunch. Houston get a wing that can fill a need (although they'd have to back themselves to turn the theory of him into anything positive) and Minny gets off a bad contract one year earlier. Maybe Paul gives a professional hand to the helm, maybe he and Towns are oil and water.

Seems to me Morey is in damage control mode. But also I don’t think he listens to a trade request when he’s trying his damnedest to win a title. Morey likely tells them to suck it up and play and win.

CP3 is fed up on Harden’s weight and conditioning.

Can Rockets tradr CP3 but agree to be paying part of his salary.. I mean geez it would have to be half almost at this point a minimum of 10 mill a year might not even get it done.. I mean if I am the Lakers I take CP3 over Kemba but Id want some salary relief and 2 first rounders thrown in because that contract is too much..

Hahahaha...boy am I enjoying this. Harden has always blamed someone (Howard, McHail, etc.). Serves both Paul and Harden right.
Trade Paul for John Wall and call it a day
