Yeah I would go Hayward before CP3 or Wiggins if we wanted to go that route (which we absolutely shouldn't).

I just don't think that Wiggins was ever a good player. Talented? Absolutely. Good? Not from what I've seen. I'm no T'Wolves aficionado but even in his best years he has significantly worse advanced stats than CP3 last year (which was CP3's worst as a pro). That's not even getting into the potential outs for CP3's contract (buyout, retirement, trade, etc.)

So yeah:

Wiggins- don't want AT ALL. Not even for a salary dump.

CP3- Would maaaybe take if the Rockets take Zeller and Batum and they would have to toss in additional 2nd somewhere when Batum's contract expires.

We need to stay away from huge, long term contracts for players unless it's going to make a significant difference in the win/loss column. I worry that they saw what Parker could do at his age and may think CP3 has enough gas left to make his contract worth it. Ugh.

If we could resign Kemba.

Keep Bridges

Draft a decent player at 12

Swap Batum and sweetners for Wiggins

Kemba
Wiggins
Miles
Pick 12

That’s a solid core... especially if either of those picks figure it out.

People are aware that CP3 is already 34, injury prone (basically guaranteed to miss 24 ish games), and is making 38 million, 41 million, & 44, million for the next 3 years. He has arguably the worst contract in the NBA. Any team that isn't all in on winning a title next year should steer clear. Even if our best players wasn't also a "6 foot" PG in his prime, it would be a pretty dumb move.

If the Wolves want to use 6 to rid themselves of Wiggins I'd do Batum+12 for Wiggins+6. That sweetens the pill of potentially extending our cap woes. Mitch supposedly wants to move up, two birds with one stone.
