What would you give for the #4 pick?

Post#1 » by Bensational » Wed Jun 19, 2019 1:26 pm

In the hypothetical pretense that WeHam want to get their hands on the #4 pick...

For who?! What player would be worth them jumping that far up for? Could only be Garland, right?

Anyway...What would you be prepared to give up? Any of BIGFu? Can any package of Fournier and the #16 get us that value?

Or, do we just not want the pick at all?

Fournier and 16 would get us a 2nd rounder if were lucky lol.

I’d give up Isaac for 4. I’m probably in the minority on here but I’m really high on Garland. 100% sure the front office wouldn’t do it. I’d trade Bamba too but I don’t think he has that kinda value after last season.

BIGfu? lol

We seem more likely to be the one to take on one of the laker throw-aways like Bonga (or Wagner if we let Vuc walk) than to trade for 4.

Wish they'd take Fultz lol.

In a three-player draft why trade up for #4?

If NYK takes Garland I'd trade anyone on that list for #4 to pick Barrett.

All our young guys (except Fultz) are worth more than Fultz, everyone one of our vets + 16 isn't worth 4. No trade is going to happen.

Exactly. Picks have way more perceived value than majority of actual players once you draft them. None of our young guys would be enough to get 4th pick now, not that it means Garland or whoever we would pick are better than what we currently have, it's just that high draft picks are lottery tickets and you get insane value trading them purely by milking some teams hopes of building through draft.

Honestly, I wouldn't give up the assets needed to get that pick. If anyone is going to move up it's going to be a team with much more assets like Atlanta.

If we are that worried about our guard talent and Fultz not working out I think we need to set our eyes on the 2020 draft. It is loaded with guard talent and we could certainly find our PG/SG replacement there. Let Vuc && Ross walk, resign Birch, and we should be looking at a top 12 pick next year and would be firmly in the running for some of the elite guard talent in that draft.

Preferably Fournier + #16 + Future FRP

Then I'll do a straight up trade for Bamba, but it would probably take Bamba + #16 which I'm okay with too. A trade NOP should really consider doing.

Isaac shouldn't even be mentioned.

I’m not giving up any of our young talent for #4.

#16 + Evan + future pick for #4 + Solomon Hill is a deal they might consider.

But who would we target? Who do you want so bad at #4?

I’m still intrigued by some of the names at #16. Outside of the top 3 this just isn’t a class I’m interested in going crazy for. Now, making a smaller deal to jump up to the #8-12 to ensure we get “our guy” makes some sense ... assuming there is someone out there we LOVE.

This class look like a classic case of finding talent in later stages of the draft. Think 2013.

Sorry, I mistyped, I think all of our young guys, except Fultz, are worth than #4 this year.

Only trade that would make sense would be - Disclaimer- I’m not saying I’d necessarily make this trade...

http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y3wu2csu

With NO adding the #4

That would make their starting lineup -
Ball
Holiday
Ingram
AG
Zion

Orlando would likely be adding Garland or Culver, Hills $12m expiring, Etwan Moore, and would still have the #16 pick.

Gordon in a split second. I'm not a big fan of his game and the fit. I'd probably take Garland, but I really love Coby White, tough call really.

I would trade Bamba but only if he is pissing off Weltman. Otherwise he has twice as much potential than anyone not named Zion this draft. Isaac i wouldnt trade for sure, Fultz is our lottery ticket for contention. Gordon i would rather package for unhappy superstar than for unproven player in a top shallow draft.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Um okay, would you draft AG at 4 in this years draft? I wouldn't, especially with having JI.

Beautiful trade. I would be stoked if we pulled that off.

Whoever falls to us, either Garland or Barrett. Both would be a huge win for Orlando and both fill a need.
