I'm already starting to get worried

There is like a 1% chance we make the playoffs no matter what we do. The west is so stacked with experience and talent and our core is still extremely young and was embarrassed in many games last year. I'll be happy to just watch competitive basketball....our guys staying motivated, healthy, improving, developing, continuing the unity that may have started. We are likely a ways from vaulting into the playoffs barring a bunch of significant injuries on various teams.

Nothing to get worried about. Even Monty in an interview (I think the Woj podcast) was saying "don't get yoru hopes up about this next season."

Just start to improve and see the growth of the young players -

Rumor has it that Memphis will be targeting one of Cam Johnson or Ty Jerome at 23. If we covet either of those players ( I really like both) and the mention of Warren to Oklahoma for Robnerson and the 21st pick are true. Then we really need to grab one of these guys with that pick before Memphis does.

Also, IF we were there and picked one, Which player would you prefer man? And what are your thoughts on Andre Roberson?

Big upgrade over Rubio. Also not sure why we are hearing Rubio's name when its been stated we want some that can also play off the ball which Rubio has zero value at, also been stated we want someone that can score at all 3 levels and Rubio can only score at one. Makes zero sense why he would be a fit on this team.

I am at the point with Jones/crew that nothing that has been reported is accurate with the exception of Warren and Josh are probably on the trade block. But DLo or not DLo; what other PG; what PF - who are they going to draft

nobody knows
certainly not anybody local like Gambo or Nevel or Sidery

It's probably a good thing nobody but the front office knows. I don't recall Sports headlines saying the Suns are targeting Steven Nash either. A tight lipped front office is good for the team.

Calm down. We have Devin Booker. Trust in Jones.

LMAO. Jones has proven nothing to have any trust in him other than screwing up a trade that worked out better because he screwed it up.

There is 0 evidence Jones screwed that trade up. Reports point to Memphis being at fault.

If you don’t have hope for Jones then you have not been paying attention this year.

Some highlights
1. Hired Monty Williams
2. Turned Ryan Anderson corpse into a nba guard in Tyler
3. Brought in a vet leader in Jamal
4. Turned chemistry killer Ariza into Kelly Oubre
5. Didn’t make desperate move for stop gap pg during season like rumored 1st rd pick for Rozier
6. Saved the day and bought suns fans beer after Josh Jackson missed community event.

I almost posted one similar to that last night. In one of those mocks some of the twitter guys were doing, TJ and 32 were traded for 21, Roberson and PPat. I decided not to post because it didn't make sense. We would want to clear space. PPat's %s were awful, Roberson is an awesome defender but we don't need with Bridges and Oubre and he can't shoot. Plus Roberson makes as much as TJ.

Roberson has more overall impact but we can't afford to have a non shooter on the floor. Plus he's been injured for over a year.

I think someone mentioned his contract being shorter and the cap hit for streching and waiving him would only be around 1.3 million or something over three years. But I'm not sure. I'd have to check though...... :dontknow:

Also I would totally target Cam Johnson or Ty Jerome at 21 ( before Memphis takes one of them) I believe that Cam Johnson shot around an incredible 46%on his threes during his last two seasons at North Carolina. He'd also have a familiarity with White if we took him. But overall at 6'9 and being a sharpshooter would be very intriguing for us.

Ty Jerome would give us a 6'5 combo guard with what most nba draft pundits have the highest Basketball i.q in the entire draft. Is a great passer, plays tenacious defense, has a championship pedigree, and is close to a career 40% shooter too( 39.9%). So I'd be content with either honestly.

Roberson has to be competing for worst player in the league. He has absolutely no shot. Shoots like 10% from ft, about 1% from 3 and misses a lot of games. He’s also uncoordinated and out of control. He ran into Westbrook and broke Westbrook’s face one year because he’s wild. He should be out the league soon

That makes sense. But Jrue will also be older for the Suns. Granted, the Suns need to start WINNING.

What about this trade. Hawks trade up to 6 with the Suns. Suns get Clarke at 8 or 10 - --
Hawks than trade to the KNicks the 6 and 10 for #3

(granted if Clarke gets drafted at 10 -- Knicks can get 6 and 8)

Yeah Jrue definitely will be older for the Suns too. Which is why I think the trade is there if we really wanted it but again we are waiting to hear more about what is going on with Brooklyn. If it sounds like the Nets are going to keep DLo then the Suns will pull the trigger on Jrue. We are hoping Kyries people will confirm he is going to Brooklyn.

It’s likely coming down to the wire for us, because the draft is so close. Just my hot take.

I still don't think Jrue is on the block.

I guess we’ll see which way the Pelicans decide to move forward. I could see them completely revamping their entire lineup since after all they have a new GM. Or they could try to do, what the Pelicans originally did with Anthony Davis, which is immediately try to build a contender around him when he wasn’t mature enough. If you recall, after AD’s rookie season they traded Noel (No 6 pick) and a future pick for Jrue Holiday. Kept Eric Gordon (was this the summer Suns tried to get him), resigned Ryan Anderson. They made a lot of bad decision in order to jumpstart their rebuild and if they keep Jrue they are bound to just repeat that same timeline.

I just don’t see them making the same mistake with Zion.

TBH that worries me in itself. Sounds like the same narrative we've heard over the past idk, 5-6 years.

I'm pretty sure that they would intend to stretch and waive him, whilst also getting the 21st pick in return.

I prefer we go after good NBA players over decent late first round prospects in a bad class. We are looking to get closer to the NBA level instead of more towards the college level of play. Roberson makes as much as TJ...or very close to it this year. He could be stretched at about $3.5 million a year for 3 years but that doesn't make very much since to trade TJ to just salary dump $7 million and have that dead cap hit for another couple years.

I’m starting to think that there’s nothing leaking from the suns front office because they actually don’t know what to do. Every good player that has been rumored to us James Jones says not interested. Lol. Some times it’s better to play along with the rumors then make yourself look like a fool.

I can't imagine we'd keep Roberson if that were the deal to go down. He's been out almost 2 years I think. Great defender though so perhaps could help there. I'd try spinning him off somewhere else, otherwise buy him out and let him go somewhere else.

If we are indeed looking to move Warren, that type of trade is probably the best we could get.

Bingo. I have ZERO confidence in James Jones. If he isn’t setting his sights on stars than what’s his purpose. James Jones that is suppose to have “the pulse” of the players. This team doesn’t need 2nd tier starters, this team needs talent (desperately needs to add star talent or something very close to star talent). I may be alone on this but I’m confident James Jones is going to do nothing more than mind boggling Ryan McDonough Type small moves that in the end doesn’t change the course of this team. TJ Warren will be traded for scraps and at the end of the day the Suns will just end up with Coby white and get ready for deja vu, 2018 repeats itself.
I am such a lucky NBA fan. 8647 My favorite team went from the most greedy and racist owner to the most ego driven dumbass owner in all of sports fdt.

Only a fan of Arizona teams!

I haven't heard James Jones say he is not interested. Don't believe Gambo on everything. I get why they didn't want Conley - for the expense - it probably was the wrong player to trade for - age too

I have some confidence in jones. I think he’s a really smart guy and much better for gm than McDonough. I just think he’s sitting on his thumbs saying he doesn’t want to make a trade for the sake of making a trade not realizing that’s the only way to improve this team right now. This team is too redundant in every aspect. Too many wings. Too many young guys. Too many scrubs. He needs to make a trade for the sake of making a trade unless he has a guarantee from a top level free agent player that he will come to Suns and that’s why he won’t make any moves.
