"Kenneth Faried"??? The poster child for the prehistoric type player that no teams want anymore? My God, you got to be kidding!

Sounds like the writer is convinced that NAWis the pick ("exactly what the timberwolves need")...

11. Timberwolves - Nickeil Alexander-Walker, PG/SG, Virginia Tech
The Timberwolves biggest need in the draft is a point guard and Alexander-Walker checks that box.

He's a true combo guard who can run the point but could also play the 2 alongside Jeff Teague. He's a playmaker first but can score the rock when necessary. Alexander-Walker is fantastic as a pick-and-roll ball handler, which bodes well playing alongside Karl-Anthony Towns and Dario Saric. His ability to shoot should space the floor for Towns and Andrew Wiggins but he can also score at the rim as well, which should open up perimeter looks for Robert Covington.

His long wingspan and defensive IQ pairs well with the T'Wolves' first-round pick from last season, Josh Okogie, giving Minnesota two very solid defenders in the backcourt.

Alexander-Walker is exactly what the Timberwolves need.

Only the 2nd or 3rd time I've seen NAW mocked for that pick, but it's starting to feel like NAW wouldn't be a reach that high...

I get a good vibe on NAW, but picking him at 11 just seems too high. Take a risk trade back and see if we can get him plus another asset.

I'd take him at 11 cause he's plenty good. But..

I would like a trade down idea if I could get a backcourt of NAW and "wait for it".....Ty Jerome!

Yep, Ty Jerome. He will be a very good pro. I see him as Ricky Rubio who can shoot and finish at the basket. Yes, he can finish. He's a high floor and decent ceiling type. He is a player that would fit nicely and he can flat out shoot. He impressed the hell out of me in the tournament. He's a bargain in the 20's. I love that kid.

I cringe already when I see how NAW shoots the basketball.

Bol Bol and Rui are best players for Wolves in that order.

Imagine this, elite defender that you can put on LeBron and Leonard. 12 pts a game, 7 rbs with an elite eFG 60%. No folks that's not Draymond or Faried, that's Brandon Clarke. Imagine the elite frontcourt high efficient offense of Towns, Clarke and Covington. Clarke is a no brainer

I hope this Clarke hype will end tomorrow. Stay tuned.

Twix is trying to be funny and IMO he's being a bit of a jerk. He doesn't want Miami to take Clarke so he comes here posting how great Clarke is.

He did this last year with Butler when he didn't want Miami's scraps so he tried to sell them to us for Jimmy. Its funny, theyre in the same turmoil as we are but dont have anything close to resembling a franchise player on their team at all

Looking at the mocks, the pickings at 11 look pretty bad.
Honestly not much separation between the guys we'd be choosing from at 11 and at 43.
I don't see any starters there.
So many guys who are undersized, out of position, lack raw athleticism, or just have gaping holes in their game.
Not even a raw athletic prospect like Lavine, Maybe Sekou is closest to that.
Someone could slip if a couple guys go ahead of us who shouldn't,
but this is the least excited I've been for a lottery pick since the year we picked Corey Brewer.

Brandon Clarke is not the best scenario for us, Sekou or Cam Reddish sliding is

Nassir Little would fall under raw athletic prospect

I’d take a look at Little definitely, measured at 6-7 w/ shoes and a 7’1 ws so he’s technically longer and built so he can guard the same matchups as Clarke. Younger and a much higher overall ceiling.

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
