i can bet you we will be in this same position next year...if we dont land a big time player this offseason....nowhere near playoff contention...possibly new coaching rumors...and a top 6 pick ..book it

I am not sure what you mean by “big time” player. We definitely don’t need to add a player like DLo/Jrue/Conley to make a big step forward next year.

Our biggest improvements will come from the development of Book/Ayton/Bridges/Oubre. Add a starting level pg and pf to this group and doubling our win total is not out of the question.

Some good/realistic offseason scenarios that don’t involve a star FA like DLo. I would be happy if we add a player from each group below.
1- Bev/Dinwiddie/Collison/Rubio/Josep
2- Aminu/Randle/Vonleh/Kleber/Thad
3- White/Clarke/Hunter/Garland

Even if they can double their win total by signing/drafting average players (doubtful) winning 38 games and missing out on the playoffs for what will then be 10 years in a row is not exactly that exciting.

Look at the average age of the stars on the west playoff teams. If this team improves to 38 wins next year... we will be in a great position moving forward for a long time.

There is no rush. The offseason is months. We don't even have Tyler's contract available to trade yet which could open up more possibiilities. Most teams will keep their plans close to the vest at least until after the draft because moves they might talk about could tip off who they might be drafting.

We should at least wait until we get into early July to assess where things are.

They won't with that core and Booker will want out. Time to seriously upgrade.

Well whenever he exercises the option. He has until June 30th, so if he doesn't exercise it, he's off the cap and we can move on and gain $19+ million.

If it happens though, that means he's just going where the money is instead of trying to win a ring.
He'll have fun there and they'll be fun to watch at least but I don't see that team competing for a ring during his tenure there.

Frank N isn't an upgrade from Melton or Okobo. I'd rather keep those 2. Same goes for Jackson.

When you’re involved in trade discussions there are other teams involved. The leaks could come from other teams. The fact that there’s little to no information about suns players on the block probably means James Jones isn’t trying to trade them. I think tj will probably be moved on draft day. Tyler will opt out. I think JJ Gets another chance. I think we sign veteran scrubs like Collison or Aminu and keep the 6th pick and lose 55 games next year.

Little to no information about Suns players being on the block?? Really? What do you call the two biggest NBA news breakers saying that Warren and Jackson are on the block and being heavily shopped?
