At this point we just decline his option and stretch.

Stretching the turd would give us about $14M in cap space for free agency. I certainly don't want him around the young players and rookies on our team. Bad influencer.

Memphis has a big TE after the Conley trade. Will probably look to kick the tyres on a few young guys with potential, who complement Morant and JJJ. Flip them JJ for cap space and don't look back.

No question this is nasty and it may have affected his on court play at times last season. It looks like a lot of hardball litigation tactics going on. Both get to tell their stories before a judge (these cases are not tried before a jury). I see a lot of things that are just as wild in non-DR cases where one side wants to stir the outrage. It seldom works and lawyers can get sanctions for such tactics.

You might not like Jackson, but to condemn him based on this stuff is wrong and unfair.

This is why I said I don’t know if I’m done with josh yet. Even if true he’s young and young people and old people and middle aged people and kids and babies all make mistakes. It’s how they learn from it that makes a difference.

Come on now ... where there is smoke there is fire. Sure we don't have the full story but we have now four separate incidents since he went to KU along with the ridiculous technicals he gets in games when he gets mad. This guy should have the label toxic and stupid tattooed to his forehead.

How about threatening to beat up a woman while at KU? Or have we all forgotten about that. The guy just seems like an idiot ***.

I'm sorry but this isn't the first red flag and I don't now how many you need to see that he's just not the sharpest tool in the shed. Basketball isn't just about talent. Just look at the long line of top prospects who never became anything despite having all the talent in the world.

It's not fun shtting on the guy but the fact is that trouble just keeps following him whether they are substantiated or not. Some people can think he's just the unluckiest person of all time and his talent/potential trumps whatever he does wrong on or off the court but I'm not one of them. I don't take pride, pleasure or joy from being disappointed and frustrated at the guy but that's all I can feel.

I started to type out a post about that and vandalizing her car while explaining this incident really doesn't change things for me because I had moved on. But this incident is just one of several. That was the worst, but other bad judgements like backing into someone and driving off, whatever happened in Miami, forgetting a media appearance, etc. One or two of these, ok, but when stuff keeps popping up.

But even if he hadn't done anything, he hasn't been anything close to a positive player on the court. One of the more negative ones in the NBA, in fact, and we have a very good 3D young wing and look like we are signing another one here soon who can do some of that exciting Jackson type stuff on the court.

Seriously, did we forget to do a background check on him as a prospect? You can have all the talent in the world but if you aren’t checked out mentally you may never be as successful as the next guy.

At this rate Jackson will be out of the league entirely.

JJ is a role player at best so I don’t care whether we keep him and decline his option or dump him for a 2nd. He’s irrelevant and isn’t tied to the current FO.

He’s clearly spiraling right now. It’s crazy because he just had a kid. You’d think maybe that make him mature up a bit. All this craziness though could possibly stem from this toxic relationship he has with this baby mama perhaps.
