Portland has to make a move that doesn't involve trading Lillard/CJ/Nurk.
I don't like OKC's chances as long as Westbrook runs the show there.
I think Houston with minor tweaks can challenge the Lakers.
Utah just reinforced their offense and playmaking ability. They can adequately replace Crowder via FA.
Still waiting on what Clippers can come up with, but if it involves Kawhi, I'm buying stock.
Dallas will be exciting to watch if KP is healthy, but won't be a contender soon. Same goes with Pels and Kings.
Warriors won't just lay down next season either. They'll be in the hunt for value rotation players.
Spurs will get Murray back.

Lakers won't have a cakewalk. Especially if they don't build the rest of the team the right way.

I would not have picked the Mavs as Al's preferred destination. I like their team, but they aren't winning anything in the next couple of years

They were my #2 choice behind Philly since I have heard Cuban speak very highly of Horford.

Lakers are at best a 4th seed imo. Most likely a 5-6th.They'll probably do some damage in the playoffs but Lebrons 35 and AD can't stay healthy. One of them goes down and that team's looking a lot like a worse version of this years Pelicans or Lakers

From the wiretap -- https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/254303/Kevin-Durant-Doing-A-Lot-Of-Soul-Searching-Ahead-Of-Free-Agency

Durant is doing a lot of soul searching... and probably pain meds too... and WEED.

some of my Laker fans that I'm friends with feel good about some FO insider they have saying they think they are going to get Kawhi

If that happens I may not watch any NBA games next year. LOL save me some frustration and time.

Just raising an eyebrow at this title - a godfather offer is what you make for James Harden, a grandfather offer is what you make for Chris Paul

I find Utah to be a sort of baron wasteland except for where the Rocky Mountains are located....A weird mixture of cowboys and super religious folks...and mostly white......Makes you wonder why they even have an NBA following?... Only towns I remember at all from passing through there once in the early seventies on I-80 was Provo and Salt Lake..Weird too that they routinely have more than one wife...Yet they are otherwise as conservative as can be.....

Ramona Shelburne says Rob Pelinka didn’t understand the cap implications of the Davis trade.. he must have been busy getting advice on the pursuit of perfection from Gloria Vanderbilt..

The draft and FA should be flipped. I know it's been discussed but all these gymnastics being done because its first is lame. If FA started this Fri like the 21st then draft was July 1st. I think it would make so much more sense

The same thing will happen to the current collection of Brooklyn Nets and LA Clippers once they get their stars.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

I miss Peter. He was always good for some really whacky rumors. And unlike the ESPN folks usually it was something out of nowhere rather than some ESPN corporate strategy.

He was like Woj if Woj was strung out on mushrooms.
