Over it. Don't care anymore. First round team, and I'm sure it'll be fun to watch the kids.

Reading all these "**** Kyrie" "karma" comments are just cringy, you'd think Kyrie did something to the posters here personally... He didn't and you guys care too much as if he did. He's not part of the team anymore, take a breath, get a grip, and move on. An active thread now dedicated to trashing the guy? We should be better than that. It's not a big deal lol

So we aren't allowed to dislike players and express our displeasure about them? Duly noted.

I don't think you understand the extent of the damage Irving has done -- team chemistry, no money to sign another star, etc. (At the same time, he has the right to do whatever the heck he pleases. Just like we have the right to voice our opinions about his play during the playoffs, his attitude and his decisions.)

This Kyrie Brooklyn **** is ridiculously. Only one team in the nba believes he is the alpha and can win a title with — Boston. Every other team thinks he has to bring someone or it’s a no go. Kyrie should have elected to stay in boston.

We were one commitment away from having a f’ing superteam with AD Hayward and a more inclined to sign Horford- yet here I am bc this douche wanted to leave seeing Rubio and other JAGS being tossed around...

This guy did royally **** us

You're the one who sounds too invested to me, that others voicing their opinions on having him back as a Celtic is somehow so offensive to you.

Danny: Hey Kyrie we have a plan to trade a lot of assests for AD. Are you onboard?
Kyrie: No I am out going to sign with Brookyln.
<Brooklyn changes their mind and Horford signs elsewhere>
Kyrie: Hey Danny, changed my mind want to come back with Boston.

Nets should do it. While DLo is younger, Kyrie’s advanced stats say he’s basically twice as good as him (Kyrie even manages to post a positive DBPM for the first time in his career last year):

Last year:
Horford PER 20.2, WS 7.5, VORP 3.4, TS% 0.61, OBPM 2.1, DBPM 2.7, WS/48 0.18.

Vucevic PER 25.5, WS 10.1, VORP 5.3, TS% 0.57, OBPM 3.0, DBPM 3.4, WS/48 0.19

Kyrie PER 24.3, WS 4.7, VORP 4.7, TS% 0.59, OBPM 6.0, DBPM 0.4, WS/48 0.20

D. Russell PER 19.4, WS 5.0, VORP 3.3, TS% 0.53, OBPM 3.9, DBPM -0.5, WS/48 0.10

Capela PER 23.8, WS 10.8, VORP 2.8, TS% 0.66, OBPM 1.3, DBPM 1.6, WS/48 0.23

Blake Griffin PER 21.0, WS 8.0, VORP 4.4, TS% 0.58, OBPM 4.2, DBPM 0.4, WS/48 0.15
Paul Pierce appreciation society.

I think the Horford backing out is a negotiating tactic by his agent to either get a 4th year or more guaranteed money. We don't know any details yet.

And if Horford is back, and Brooklyn does not sign Kyrie I wouldn't be surprised if Kyrie signed a 1+1 with Boston.

If we do sign Kyrie....when is the soonest we can trade him?

I thought we knew the key details--4 years, $100M, the Mavs.

I think that's a horrible idea. Why give him a reward for how he's acted so far? Why give him a short term deal that bails him out from the situation he put himself in? Why give him the opportunity to continue to be a distraction while he lobbies to go somewhere else. He's made his bed

So what kind of deal could DA offer him? Can he offer him a lot ball deal? Make him take a very team friendly deal or let him go to LA.

I call BS on idea that Brooklyn is balking on Kyrie. If they sign him, they can always trade him to, for example, the LA Clippers later for assets and players. Getting him for nothing is a coup, with or without Durant. That’s why I hoped he resigned here even though he is my least favorite Celtic of all time. Yes, I even liked Blount more because of how he worked his way from a castaway into a decent contract.

BTW....pre-injury IT was a better player, fit Brad’s system better, and was 10 times more fun to watch.

No backing out! I already have my video set where I burn his T-Shirt jersey. Gonna make it “cool” and “in” again.

I predict that Kyrie and Durant go to Knicks if they pair up. Otherwise it is Kyrie to Nets alone or to Lakers with tail between legs and less than max. Knicks actually offer a lot: RJ Barrett, Dennis Smith Jr., Robinson, etc. plus a lotto pick next year after Durant red shirt season and a year of tanking.
