After the Conley trade and Jonas opting out, MEM is down to a cap number of $71,053,954 for next season. This does not include cap holds from the 1st round picks. Alot of this is created by not picking up options on Bradley, Wright, and Brooks.

A lot of flexibility on the roster now, we only need to add (2) centers & backup point guard. The (2) draft picks will give us a nice mix going forward but not certain Chandler Parsons will not be bought out since that negative energy is not wanted around the young guys. Every "Chandler is a good dude" player or coach has been moved on, so he is more likely to act out anyway with no supporters around him. The vets have to be good professional vets, so a guy like Kyle Korver is likely to stay prior to the trade deadline. The vets also should not block the development of a young guy so the current vets all fit the mold. Given the current mix, the only question is now do they make a run at a Kelly Oubre or another young wing who is restricted or heading into restricted free agency next year?
