If I recall correctly, 3pm is when they freeze the picks and you have to do the awkward how does it feel to be picked by ____ even though everyone knows you are picked by some other team. Little more than an hour left to get deals done early.

Wolves keep 11.
Wolves would do this IMO.

If the Bulls want Garland enough all they need to do is make Lauri Markkanen available. That offer would trump everyone's unless Myles Turner is on the table.

I am not impressed by any pick after 2-3, so I wouldn’t use Covington in a purported flat draft in that range.
I’d do two of #11, Saric or a future protected 1st — I just think that Rosas may be under some pressure to take big swings, and be unwilling to walk away from taking a big gamble in front of impatient Wolves fans.
Draft Day is when picks have the most appeal and fans dream - tomorrow when they are specific players with actual flaws, they look a lot less appealing.

I'm with you too. I'd much prefer to keep RoCo. No question. He was a real difference maker for this team last year.
I was just throwing out an idea based on some of these rumors/reports to see what kind of traction it would get.

Golden State could be anything in 2024, but I have that as still a great trade for them and very so so for Atlanta.
I actually think it is a terrific trade for Atlanta. Get a long-term minor asset and 1.7MM in exchange for your fifth best pick in the Draft; seems pretty much ideal.
Tweet says 1.3m.
I get that they wanted to push the pick forward, but they basically just got to only push half of its value forward, and took the second half the value in cash.
A pick before 45, I want more future value, even at the cost of less cash. Especially after the GM makes public statements about not selling the 2nds.
His PREFERENCE was not to sell the picks/Try to avoid selling picks.
Listen to what his exact words were regarding selling picks here: minute 14

Can't see NO doing a deal without Covington.
If Min wants a PG, there is a big gap between somebody like Garland and Ty Jerome or Carsen Edwards. If Minny doesn't want a PG then it doesn't make much sense to trade up.

I feel like that team is lacking shot creation, especially with NAW as the pick. I’m going Kevin Porter over him all day if that’s the lineup we are working with. I’d prefer to move the 16th pick for a 2/3 shot creator.

I figure Ingram would be starting over Naw. He's a relative good shot creator. Him and Zion should be able to cover NO's shot creation.

Completely forgot about Ingram, lol. New Orleans would be pretty set, IMO. New Orleans would have two guys that are very capable of 20ppg (Ingram, Holiday), and one more that could be (Zion) in their starting lineup.

If Roco/Saric is an option you have to consider rolling with Garland/Okogie/Wiggins/Clarke(?)/Towns and maybe not contending for a playoff spot next year, but having a higher ceiling for when KAT is nearing the end of his deal. Would also give the Wolves more cap flexibility in 2021 when Gorgui's deal is done.

I agree. I like the potential of the team. I was just disagreeing with the pick, but that’s the minor issue here. I’m not a big believer of NAW being any more than a bench wing though.

Griffin really likes Love. I'm just not sure what the Cavs would do with Nos. 4 & 5. Hunter is the only guy I have rated as a top 5 prospect after Barrett, Zion, and Ja. Unless the Knicks are prepared to do something crazy at No. 3, or the Hawks want to trade up to No. 5 after the Cavs draft Hunter, the Cavs will be trading themselves into a position where they'll have to reach.
This will end badly

I don't see Love getting 4. I see Love and 5 getting 4 and Solomon Hill's bad deal.

And I don't see the Cavs trading Love to move up one slot and eat Hill's deal which may be why Griffin is searching for alternatives. The Bulls were rumored to be open to moving Lauri.
