How do you guys feel about Chandler Hutchison? How did he look to you last year? I followed him at college and thought he'd make more of an immediate impact.

Maybe we're going for all of them?

Fast, can defend....but can't shoot. 3&D guy without the 3.
Looks like a late first round pick.
Hopefully looks better in year two.

No way an extra late lottery pick #12 plus a small shooting guard and a guy that came up short of expectations is worth an on the edge of an all star 2 guard. It cuts cap space for players that aren't coming and pushes the rebuild back a couple of years at least.
of the other players suggested in other trades.
I think WASH could do better than giving up a 1st to get rid of Mahinmi. Send him to the Bulls for Felicio and they at least spread the same amount of money out over 2 years, keep their 1st and could always stretch Felicio if it suits them.
I doubt the PELS think #8 and #10 are worth #4 since any number of stories say they want current useful players to try to win sooner than later when 5 rookies come around. So let ATL send #10 and #17 to the Bulls for #7. If ATL is still interested in #4 let them send #7 and a player like Bazemore to the PELS.
LMFAOOO you werent kidding about that awful trade for the Bulls.

Thanks! I still have high hopes but wondered why he only averaged 5 pts a game last year. He shot well in college so maybe just adjusting to the new 3pt line?

I’m probably one of the bigger Hutch supporters of Bulls fans.
He’s an absolutely outstanding defender both in man defense vs SG, SF, and did very well vs PF’s, and as a team defender. He looked like the Bulls top perimeter defender last season.
He’s a smart player, good in transition and makes good cuts in the half court. His biggest weaknesses right now are his shot, he’s got a bit of a slow release, though when he got consistent play he began showing confidence in it...and his strength when attacking the paint. He’s really athletic and can get to the rim, but in college he could get away with awkward looking floaters that led to foul calls. As a rook, he couldn’t get those calls and often threw up weak floaters that were off target when he took contact.
I’m still extremely high on Hutch and think he’s the type of player that could really surprise fans with his improvements, but he needs to work hard on his offensive weaknesses to become a player a team can really count on.

Hawks just traded 8, 17 and 35 for 4.
EDIT: Full details, from Woj
Atlanta has acquired New Orleans' No. 4 pick in the draft for No. 8 and 17 and 35, league sources tell ESPN. Pelicans are sending Solomon Hill, No. 57 pick and a future second-round pick. Atlanta is also sending sending Cleveland a heavily protected 2020 first-round pick. Atlanta is pursuing Virginia's De'Andre Hunter.

Let's pay a little more in the deal and not force Dunn on them!

Re: Trade Thread: Armchair GMs welcomed
Now I guess the priority is to trade Dunn in order to make room for the right vet PG. I’m convinced Dunn can use a fresh start somewhere else. Most likely in a team that needs to unload more salaries. We’d want someone who can help our bench.
Milwaukee for Ilyasova? Dallas for Powell?

Dunn to the Bucks for Ilyasova and future 1st.
Dunn and Blakeney to the Heat for Kelly Olynyk.
Dunn to Houston for PJ Tucker and future 1st.
Any of these would work...

No future firsts out at this point, please. Other than that, yes and yes.
From the basketball's perspective, travel is a nice pause from being pounded to the floor.

Is it possible to do a S&T deal with Clips/Beverly for Dunn?

In a crazy world, I would do a sign and trade Jimmy for Porter/Taj for Felicio, Dunn for Beverly and do we still have cap space for Kyrie?
