Well this in interesting, likely just due diligence, but interesting tidbits about who else we've looked at:

Goga Bitadze discusses his workout with Spurs
Bitadze did get an invite to work out with the Spurs ahead of the draft and the time with San Antonio left him impressed.

"It was pretty nice," said Bitadze. "I really loved it there."

Bitadze is listed as 6-11, 250 pounds, with a 7-2 wingspan and is 19 years old. During the 2018-19 season in the Euroleague, he posted 12.1 points per game, 6.4 rebounds per game, and 2.3 blocks per game.

During his workout with the Spurs, Bitadze explains he was given different situations on the court as San Antonio evaluated him ahead of the draft.

"We worked on a lot of stuff. We played a lot of stuff," said Bitadze. "Three-on-three situations, one-on-one and multiple stuff. A lot of shooting."

Bitadze did admire the rich history the Spurs have at the center position.

He praised David Robinson and Tim Duncan admitting he could not believe he was in the same place as the two legends working out with the team.

Now he hopes he could be next in line.

"His basketball IQ and how he reads the game he was just great," said Bitadze when asked about what he takes away from Spurs great Duncan.

Some players we have looked at more closely with doing interviews / watching them play / having them work out for us, but that does not necessarily mean extra interest:

^ And we were willing to move in the draft to get Dejounte, too. Just like with Lonnie. Luckily we didn't need to for either. Fingers crossed we are graced once again with our top unicorn options at our spots.

And so it begins. There are several less than credible rumours already floating out there - it is clickbait season - but given the source and specificity, this one sounds as if it has some solid footing:
Read on Twitter

Davis, when he's on, is valuable with his lighting quick release. He has driven more, and gets a bit more of his shots off his own dribble, but he's a poor rebounder for his position, has improved defensively but still gets driven by, and we have players who duplicate what he does. I like him because nothing phases him, he takes instruction - even the heavy kind - well, and hustles. But if it takes Davis and our 19th to potentially move into the lottery or up a few spots from 29th to get the guy we love, so be it.

EDIT to add requisite caveat:

Maybe we move up for Goga? Maybe Little? Maybe Sekou, though I think he goes top 10:

Lots of extra selling of prospect potential at this phase, but it does attract extra attention. I trust PATFO's longstanding scouting and deep dives into players' backgrounds:

Based on nothing but my own speculation and a reservation about LMA hovering ever so slightly in the background because of that final "1, 2, 3 Cancun!" non-play in the playoffs, I wouldn't be overly shocked if he got moved. I'm 99.9% certain he won't be, but the reverting slightly to seemingly passive aggressive plays and non-plays in some games in the playoffs has me thinking now and again that if he's not 100% on board, and we have a chance to shore up the position, well then there's a 1% or so window proportionate to his commitment to play the right way 100% of the time.

And onwards we go...

Interesting.
I wouldn't mind it happening if it made us more athletic with what we get in return. I agree its not happening though. Especially with the Warriors being weakened for next year. With a couple right moves we are as close in the West as anyone else. My guess is we stand pat and try to get an affordable wing.

Not sure I understand the Johnson pick. We already have too many guys that already fit what he does. Unless we are looking to move someone.
I guess he's an upgrade athletically. I dont know know enough about him. Is he a good defender?

A belated WELCOME TO THE SPURS, QUINNDARY WEATHERSPOON! *facepalm*

RC's post-draft presser:

It is telling that the first post-draft public interaction with our three new Spurs was at a community event yesterday. Here are their media availability interviews while helping with at a Spurs Youth Basketball Clinic for the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Antonio:
